Firstly I have To Informed You that The Eligiblity Criteria are vary from Bank To Bank. But to apply for Bank PO Examination you need to complete your Graduation degree course in any discipline form a recognised university. So Graduation is the Minimum eligibility to apply for Bank PO Examination.

>> For Public Banks your age should not be more than 30 years.

So, If your age should between 21 to 30 years then you are eligible to apply for Public sector banks like SBI, IBPS etc... The Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. There are 5 Year relaxation is applicable for SC/ST Candidates and 3 Year relaxation is applicable for OBC Candidates.

But for Private banks Your age Should not be More than 25 years.

To Apply for the Private banks you must have to scored minimum 55% marks in your Graduation But for Public sector banks like SBI and IBPS you Dont need to scored any minimum Percentage in your Graduation, If you have completed your Graduation then you are eligible for Bank PO Examination.

So, If you have satisfied the given eligibility criteria then you are eligible for Bank PO examination.

The minimum elligibility to appear the Bank PO exam;

Candidate must be citizen of India.
•Candidate should have completed their graduation with at least 60 % aggregate from the recognized University to be eligible for this course.
•Candidate must be computer literate to be eligible for this course.
•Candidate must be above 21 years of age and must not be more than 30 years of age.
for SC/st there is 5 years f relaxation and for OBC it's 3 year..

The minimum age limit for appearing for bank P.O job is :::: Candidate should not be below than 21 years .

Age limit for Bank exams:
POs - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on that year i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.03 and not later than 28.02 (both days inclusive)

POs (RB) - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on that year i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.03 and not later than 28.02 (both days inclusive). The eligibility criteria is differ from bank to bank.Every bank has there own eligibility criteria and it is varies from bank to bank.So carefully read the notification before apply for the examination.Mostly the eligibility criteria is common to all the banks.

Age limits :-

Five year relaxation is given to the SC/ST category and three year relaxation is given to the OBC categories.

BANK PO exam consist of two steps 1) Written test 2)Personal Interview.

For written test you must be prepare for mathematics and general knowledge.Also you must have basic knowledge computer field.

Every bank set their own criteria .So it is not perfect criteria all BANK PO exam.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS) conducts the Bank PO entrance exam for 19 Public sector banks. This exam is generally conducted in June but this year it is expected to be conducted in September. The registration process is expected to begin in August.


IBPS Bank PO Eligibility

1. You should have graduation degree.

2. 60 percent marks in it.

3. A certificate in Computer operating skills.

4. Else Computer Science should be subject in School or college.

5. Age limit which you requested is 20 to 28 years.

6. Upper age limit is relaxed for OBC by 3 years.

7. Upper age limit is 33 years for SC/ST.

8. Person with Disability can apply till 38 years.


State Bank of India also conducts a Bank PO entrance exam. Unlike most of the PSU banks, SBI do not rely on IBPS for conducting its exam.


SBI Bank PO Eligibility

1. SBI will only hire candidate with Indian citizenship.

2. You should have completed graduation.

3. 65 percent or more marks in it.

4. 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST.

5. Must have basic Computer operating skills.
