Re: Required Qualification to do Civil Engineering?
Civil Engineering is one the best branches in Engineering. To become a Civil Engineer you must join in the course B.E. civil from any of the recognized university. On becoming a civil Engineer you can enter in construction field. As for any engineering branch, the eligibility for joining in Civil Engineer is just to pass 12th std with science stream from a recognized school of recognized board.
You can join in this course in a good college with your 12th std marks. You can also join in top level engineering college by clearing the entrance exam AIEEE or you can join even in IIT by clearing the entrance exam IITJEE. |

Re: Required Qualification to do Civil Engineering?
Civil engineering course can be pursued after 10th std. 3years diploma and then 3years degree.Your score should be above 70% for good college for diploma. And for degree college you have to score minimum 80% in diploma for reputed colleges. If you want to do after 12th (Science) then you have to appear for entrance exam of CET.There is good future in civil engineering.

Re: Required Qualification to do Civil Engineering?
dear friend,
An educational career in civil engineering can be started after class 10th. Here the individual is only eligible to pursue Diploma program in civil engineering. After successful completion of the course, he/she can join as a junior engineer in various public and private sector jobs. Civil Engineering Eligibility Criteria :- The minimum eligibility for doing undergraduate program i.e. BE/BTech in Civil Engineering is + 2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. The selection is generally made on the basis of entrance tests (e.g. IITJEE, AIEEE, BITSAT etc.) conducted at both national and state level. One can also continue his/her study further by joining ME/MTech programs offered by various engineering colleges/universities including the IITs and NITs. A G.A.T.E. (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) qualification can further make one’s admission process easier. A.M.I.E. (Associate Memberships of the Institution of Engineers) also offers courses in civil engineering which is equivalent to BE/B.Tech provided by other institutes/universities. I think I have cleared all the queries of yours. Stay connected in this fouram ~regards~ priyo |

Re: Required Qualification to do Civil Engineering?
For becoming Civil Engineering you have to first pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths with at least 50% marks. Then you have to apply for entrance exam for admission into Engineering courses.
JEE is conducted by IITs on all India level for admission into Engineering courses. The rank in the JEE will decide the college you will get for pursuing your Civil Engineering Graduation. So be if you have passed 10+2 with the above subject combination then you must start preparing for the JEE . It is very essential to get a top engineering college otherwise you have to pay hefty fee to the private colleges. Exam Pattern for JEE: There will be objective type question related to Physics, Chemistry and Maths in JEE. The exam duration will be of 3 hours and you have option to appear online or offline mode. There will be negative mark for every wrong answer which will be 1/4 . There are many state level engineering entrance exam also and you can apply for those also but the best colleges are under JEE. IITs and NITs give admission on the basis of JEE rank. For more information visit http://www.jeemains.nic.in |

Re: Can i get admission in Civil Engineering with commerce stream?
Quote:
No. You cannot take admission in any stream of Engineering with commerce in your class 12th. You need to study Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English to be eligible for any Engineering Entrance Test. If you have studied 12th with commerce then you may go for Chartered Accountant which is a bit tough but having very good career prospects. B.Com. is also a good option for you and after that you can apply for several competitive examinations in many sectors. Thank you. |
