i am doing mpharm pharmacology and also doing p.g diploma in clinical trial management ..what is the scope for me abroad..

There are good scope in Pharmacology, because there are so many pharmaceutical companies, where so many students world wide are placed and medicines and pharmacology is a never going down job, it will never come to an end and it will only rise.

Pharmacology is the study of the effects of drugs on living organisms where a drug can be broadly defined as any chemical substance, natural or synthetic, which affects a biological system.

So, please dont worry, there are very wide scope in this field and you will find good jobs with good salary pacakage. So, please go for this course and makes your future bright.

PHARMACOLOGY! has a great boom now a days as per day by day its importance & awareness among people is increasing..it is having a good scope all over world wide like you can go in academics i.. in teaching,lab assistant,pharmacologist who work with renowned scientists,many pharmacy companies like RANBAXY,NIPER,ASTRA ZENECA,ROCHE,PFIZER & many more.
moreover t seems that you are interested in research field too,that is really superb.In clinical trial there are many golden opportunities all over the world including India.once you get into it your life will secure...further scope in foreign is also beyond expectation countries like U.K,BELGIUM,SWITZERLAND,GERMANY,FRANCE etc. have many prospective s & jobs regarding pharmacology.one more thing i would like to tell you in relation with pharmacology we too have pharmacogenomics & pharmacogenetics which includes some of the biotechnology & bio informatics in pharmacy you too can go for it .all you just have to do is hard work..

Pharmacology is having the good scope now and further, because every one are going to doctor one in the month, some how or the other, because all are entering into engineering so that there is less computation, so we can do the course it's very good

Doing pharmacology(regular) can give you vast opportunities but requires you to prove that you have potential(many courses in India) are so.Because Indians companies depend on foreign for technologies....For Example:TATA Nano is not designed by Indian but designed especially for India.
But during recent times they are considering Indian technology too.
Since you want opportunities in foreign you can secure good jobs in foreign if things go well (not disturbed by Obama's bills)
few ways on which you can secure good job are New Drug Discovery Research,Formulation & Development of quality products,Clinical Trials, Bioequivalence studies, Toxicological Studies etc.,

There are many job opportunities for post graduates in this field. There is a great demand in various areas of pharmaceutical research and development, production and manufacturing, analysis and testing, marketing, hospital pharmacy, Community pharmacy, etc. With the number of researches taking place to find new drugs and so on, there is always a need to m pharm degree holders.

.i want to ask that in india there is hardly 50 CRO.So how can you say that there is a good scope in pharmacology.i am confused in that one .so please give me perfect guideline about the scope.

There is a very good scope of pharmacology because 'Pharmacology' is an international forum to present and discuss current perspectives in drug research and it covers biochemical pharmacology, molecular pharmacology, immunopharmacology, drug metabolism, pharmacogenetics, analytical toxicology, neuropsychopharmacology, pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology...etc

I am doing MD pharmacology at KEM hospital, Mumbai(one of the best to do pharmacology in India). I wanted to do a PhD after my MD. I have taken the GRE exam and my score is 1440. My questions are:
1) Do i have an added advantage of getting in a PhD because of my MD degree?
2) Can I come back andf work in Indi9a after my PhD? Are prospects like these open? Will I be paided well if I work in India after my PhD?

R&D is the heart of the pharmaceutical company which includes the following departments
1.New Drug Discovery Research (NDDR)

2.Process Development (P &D) of API - development of viable processes for the manufacture of drugs & intermediates for their commercial production

3.Formulation & Development ( F& D) of Conventional and Novel Drug Delivery Systems...
u should have strong background in organic chemistry or on formulations
for this you have to take medicinal chemistry or pharmaceutics branch in u'r m.pharmacy

after completing the m pharma pharmacology and PGDCR very much scope in the field of clinical research. go for CRA position in the clinical research organization after 2-3 years experience u easily have chance to go abroad. and u have very brightning career in clinical research field.

after completing b. pharma in the pci approved college and regestration u can eaisily join army but only problem is age limit or age crietria comes while joining army. army conduct exam for join various post so if u have age limit prepare for the entreance exam.

yes u right there are very much cro in india but medically qualified persons only coordinate the trial activity. like PI should take medical dignosis and inclusion and exclusion crietria and a pharmacologist only should know the particular brand name drug have which salt in it. a typically bsc person not in position to under stand the technical term. so dear pharmacology is very much scope in the field of clinical research. as i m also CRA II in the well renowned CRO. go keep trying dear.

basically R&D of MNC's are based on pre clinical study and chemical structure based so u try for m pharma in analysis, medicinal chemistry or pharmacology.

u can easily get job in the R&D section with the good knowledge of the subjects.

after completing the m pharma u should try for clinical research diploma from well known institute and get practical exposure. entry level job is clinical research coordinator in the hospital. after +6 months exprience u try for CRO as CTA as u r master of pharmacology u get eaisly job in it with handsome salary. and there is huge chance to go abroad after 2-3 years exp.

after completing the md pharmacology u get pay 25-35 k per months as fresher.
and in medical college u joining as assit. proffesor. few years exp after u get very good salary.

if you done MD pharmacology, then there should be a very better opportunity, because after MBBS, the carrier of doctor is limited until he not complete his MD degree, so this should be much better, any pharmaceutical company should pay you atleast 25-30 k.

it is us university policy is without give GRE person are not eligible for the taking admission in us for phd. so try for gre dear after that u can take admission in phd. as u say that u qulify in the toefl.

yes u can get advantage of phd degree form abroad becoz of that u gain more exposure of the work form aborad and sound knowledge are provided by the us universities.

and second thing definatily u can come back india after phd and very much scope in india after phd in medical field u will pay very handsome salary in india as well.

after completing the md pharmacology very much scope of phd. for go to US for higher degree GRE is best option. this u us university policy to candidate should qualify GRE for taking admission in phd or higher education and after completing the phd very much scope in india as well

u can try for teaching in medical college and pharmacolleges

after completing the md pharmacology u can easily join pharma industry and there is no need to do any course for entry in pharma sector. in R&D unit of pharmaceutical compney u get easily job.

after completing the m pharma it is ur intreste to which field u choose for the job. if u have intrest in the industry go for industry and if u have intrest in the teaching u go for medical college or pharma college and it is possible if u do job in industry work as gust fuculty in the any college
