Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
HI!
Sorry, but you can not apply for TCS. TCS has set the following 2 eligibility criteria for recruitment of fresh engineers: 1. The candidate should have secured minimum 60% marks in 10th, 12th & graduation i.e BTech/BE (all semester including optional subject). Further thereshould not be any backlog. 2. The candidate should also have less than 2 years of gap in their academic career. Since your percentage of marks in 12th is less than 60% you are not eligible for TCS recruitment. |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
Hey it depends upon the cut off limit,if they specify that you need 60% in all streams of courses then your not eligible for TCS.Many of the MNC's prefer graduates above 60% in all the fields but there are some MNC's which offer just 55% in 10th and 12th and 60% in the B.E stream.
So just try to go through those MNC's which offer 55% as cut off and then go for higher companies having an experience certificate in hand. all the best |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
The minimum eligiblity for a fresher is:-
1.)need to have consistence 60% from 10th,12th and B.tech.. 2.)Should not have more than 2years Education Gap.... but in your 12th class your having less than 60% so you may not be eligible but since it is only 1% and if you did in C.B.S.E then you will get 5% concession so no need to worry and definitely you can sit in exam... all the best... |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
Hi,dhiraj...
You have very good numbers in 10 and UG but your 12th marks isa little less. It would be better if you got 60% in 12th,because TCS critaria is 60%overall... but dont warry, you can apply for those exem where 55%require in 12 standard... |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
Hello
If there is a tie-up of TCS with your college then you can apply for this exam on-campus. But if your college doesn't have any tie-up with TCS then you have to apply for this exam off-campus. Basically there eligiblity criteria will be changed from time to time . But mostly the eligiblity criteria found for this exam is mentioned below: 1. Minimum 60% in class X,XII and graduation. 2.Less then 2year gap in their academic. GOOD LUCK |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
Dhiraj for TCS the minimum eligibility is to have consistent 60% in 10th,12th and b.tech too..since you have it so there should not be any problem do you have exactly 59% or 59.6% then make it to 60% so that it will be beneficial to attend exam and talk to your placement department regrading your 12th class marks.....
all the best.... |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
unfortunately you will not be eligible for TCS.
the criterion of TCS is you must have minimum of 60% marks throughout your career. but you do not have 60% marks in H.S. so you will not be eligible for TCS. one more criterion for TCS is you should not have more than one year gap in your study. also when you will apply for job in TCS you should not have any backlog in your career. but do not worry. you will be eligible for so many other company. try for that. best wishes. |

Re: Selection Criteria for TCS exam?
Hi
It may be possible that you are eligible for the TCS exam . It will depend upon the eligibility criteria they required because it change time to time . The selection criteria for the TCS exam is mentioned below: 1) Written Test 2) Technical cum HR interview. Written Test: Written test consists of 35 questions 80min,previously it is 60min but now time they increased 20min.It is a online test . Interview: Then coming to interview my interview is fine i am from M.Tech, Power electronics and drives. In my college for non IT branches separate technical panel came. For M.tech power electronics and drives and power systems one technical guy came and interviewd us .But he took around 45 min or more for each person. For me my interview gone for around 45 min. Mainly they asked questions on electrical only not on C,C++,java Mainly i told to him about my project both btech and mtech ans some hr questions like tell me abt urself, why u came to software, tell me abt tcs,why u had taken power electronics,if i reject u what will u do,can u relocate ur self, some applications of our branch ie power electronics and some day to day applications in it and some basic electrical questions like kirchoffs laws, ohms law, motor principle, generator principle, why transformer is used. What are the recent trends in power electronics.etc. Thats it. GOOD LUCK |
