CAT & GMAT , both are the MBA entrance exams. After completion of your B.Com , You can apply for any one which is most suitable for you.

Entrance Exam Syllabus
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
- Analytical Writing
- Reading Comprehension

Choose the CAT or GMAT
- If you want to study in India , then you should appear for CAT because most of indian b-schools accept the CAT.
- If you want to study in abroad , then you must apply for GMAT because foreign b-schools never accept CAT & only accept GMAT.
- If you want to go abroad after MBA , then you should write GMAT & get admission to institutes in india which accepts GMAT score. In abroad , MBA through GMAT is more valuable.
- It doesn't matter which one is more easier , but only matters which is more suitable for you.

CAT V/S GMAT
- CAT is conducted once a year whereas GMAT is conducted 5 times a year.
- CAT score is valid for forthcoming year whereas GMAT score is valid for 5 years.
- GMAT rescheduling exam is more flexible than CAT.
- CAT result is declared on fixed date whereas GMAT score is available right after the exam.
- CAT Exam duration is 2 hours 35 minutes whereas GMAT Exam duration is 3.5 Hours.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test.
GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test.

Through both examinations, candidate can take admission in postgraduate program in management.
But CAT score is used for admission in IIM(Indian Institute of Management), IIT(Indian Institute of Technology) and IISc(Indian Institute of Science) in management program in India while GMAT score in 2100 universities and institutions all over the world.

So, you can go on for both of them.
First of all, you need to decide about the college for admission then choose the entrance examination whether it is CAT or GMAT.

No, you are not eligible to appear for CAT or GMAT examination for admission in management studies.

The minimum qualification to appear for examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree from recognised university or even candidate pursuing in final year are also eligible to appear for examination.

So, you have to wait for next year to appear for examination. So, now you can prepare for examination. There is no age limit to appear for examination.

For information about CAT examination visit at www.iimcat.ac.in.
