i am a student of b com final year.post graduation,i want to pursue mass communication,therefore i want to know about the entrance exam syllabus and good colleges offering the course.also i want to enquire about the branches of st. xaviers which offer the same course.and around what dates are the forms available in different colleges and whats the procedure to apply for it?also,what is the eligibility criteria?

st. xaviers college of mumbai, kolkata pursues the mass communication course.the admission forms are available at the college websites online in the month of MAY.and the admission is on the merit basis.

Xavier Institute of communication offers diploma courses on journalism and mass communication. This course covers the responsibility and principles of communication and journalism. The course comprises of 17 modules, 3 electives, online sessions, seminars, workshops etc. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree of 55% marks are eligible for this course. There would be an online entrance test and a personal interview. You can join as journalist in media’s like TV, radio, newspaper, NGO etc.

jnu doesn`t offer mass comm courses, IIMC is an independent institution at campus.

I feel that students should apply to 2-3 leading institutes such as DSC (The Delhi School of Comm.) and MICA as well, in order to get more choice and better options. For Delhi, DSC is the best! Cheers.
