Personal Interview Now coming to the eligibility to appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. >> You need to have a Graduation Degree in any Stream. >> Your age should be 21-32 Years for a general category students, Age relaxation applicable for reserve category candidates. The application for the examination is done online and advertisement for the same is issued in Employment Newspaper and in UPSC website too. The number of seats varies every year. Since you are in 11th standard, first of all focus on your 10+2 exam and then complete your graduation in the stream you are interested to. You will have option to choose two subjects for the main examination so study the subject you have interest so that you may choose those for the main exam as optional subjects. |

To become a District Collector in future, you will have to qualify Civil Services Exam that is conducted by UPSC every year.
For Civil Services Exam, you must have completed graduation in any field, then only you can appear for Civil Services Exam. There are three stages to clear Civil Services Exam i.e.
Qualified candidates of Preliminary Exam will only be allowed to appear for Main Exam. Then, qualified candidates of Main Exam will be called for Personal Interview. |

But you can start preparing for the examination as according to syllabus. The most fundamental and important for Civil Service preparation is start reading NCERT books ( Std VI - XII ).
