Re: Which stream is the best after 10th so as to become an IAS officer in future?
It doesn't matter at all..
because IAS doesn't require any particular background all that you need to attempt this exam is you should have the basic eligibility criteria.. The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination ->Candidate must have 21 years of age ->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University this is all about the basic eligibility criteria of CSE As per your qualification if you have completed Degree then definitely you are eligible for the exam.. You can go through the examination code for Civil Service Examination in the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in so don't worry about the selection of stream in 11th or after 12th just you should have a degree and age ... thats all.. best wishes ~aditya~ |

Re: Which stream is the best after 10th so as to become an IAS officer in future?
Hello friend,
For appearing into the IAS exam you need to be graduate from any recognized university in any discipline. So after class 10th you can take your choice stream as because stream doesn't matters in the IAS. But i would like to suggest you to take science steam for better understanding and development of mind. The age limit of the IAS exam will be 21-30 years for general candidates. |

Hello Lavanya,
You can take any course for your 12th as well as graduation. So you can take science or arts or even commerce. Go with your interest. Because to become an IAS you should have completed your graduation first in any stream from any recognized university....that is the only educational criteria....then take a look at the following things. 1. Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years. [33 years for Sc/ST] 2. You should have good knowledge in current affairs and social issues. [Because you need to have very strong in that] So if you fulfill the above conditions, you can easily crack IAS exam. official website-- http://www.upsc.gov.in |
