Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
I appreciate your query.First of all in mba there is a lot of scope in various fields. You need to decide which field you are interested in.Any field you choose will give you benefit in terms of money and other things if you work hard and sincerely. But you need to choose the field of your choice as a field of your choice will keep you enthusiastic about your work and thereby will help you to contribute more.As far as colleges in chennai are concerned ifmr is a good college if you consider all india reputation. But for you doing mba part time from sitm(symbiosis institute of telecom management) pune wont be a bad idea as you have done ece engg...

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
My first suggestion will be to think about taking a full time course. It is much more valuable especially since you have just started your career. When you do a full time course, you will spend more time with professors and friends, will get into more discussions and study sessions. MBA is one degree where you need to talk to different people, brainstorm a lot on ideas and plans, it really helps in shaping your though process and also equips well to manage a team and work in a team. Anyway if you dont have that option, you can go in for part-time courses. There are many top universities now like Symbiosis, NMIMS, IMT Ghaziabad who offer this correspondence management learning program. But please do check out their qualification criteria, it changes like years of experience, marks obtained in degree exams etc. Then ofcourse IGNOU, ICFAI and NIBM providing you with distance learning courses. Choose a course which conducts contact sessions and which gives you live projects, that would be really valuable. All the best then.

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
dear friend
If you are interested to do MBA through correspondence, then i will suggest you to opt Finance and HR field. Because there are very wide scope in both these fields and you will get very high salary pacakage after completing MBA from this stream. If you are interested to do MBA correspondence, then IGNOU, SYMBOSIS and IMT Ghaziabad is best colleges to purse this course. But for this you have to appear in MAT/CAT examination, if you have scored good percentile in this entrance exams, then you will get admission in SYMBOSIS and IMT Ghaziabad. For admission in IGNOU, you have to appear in OPENMAT exams which is conducted by IGNOU itself........ |

HI...DOING MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION MEANS..IT WONT BE SO INTERSTING..AS, MBA IS TOTALLY OF CREATIVITY AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS..THESE WILL BE WHEN WE STUDY MBA UNDER REGULAR..WE MEET SO MANY PEOPLE,THEIR ATTITUDES,THE COURSE ITSELF TEACHES HOW TO DEAL AND MANAGE THE PEOPLE..RIGHT...SO,IT IS BETTER TO GO FOR MBA REGULAR...AND IF IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DO IT REGULAR..BETTER IGNOU UNIVERSITY,IFCAI,PONDICHARY UNIVERSITY...THESE ARE THE UNIVERSITIES WHICH ARE FAMOUS FOR MBA CORRESPONDANCE.THERE WILL BE LESS SCOPE FOR PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE IN CORRESPONDENCE YAR.THROUGH CORRESPONDANCE..BETTER YOU OPT THE STREAM WHICH IS NOT DIRECTLY RELATED..WHICH ARE THEROTICAL AND CALCULATION RELATED..BETTER YOU GO FOR FINANCE.
all the best dear |

Dear friend Fees Structure are not same for all the colleges, it is vary form colleges to colleges. The fee would be around Rs. 40,000 for IGNOU and Rs. 45,000 for Symbiosis for the whole course. But if you do MBA from IGNOU, then you need to clear the OPEN MAT entrance exam, if you have clear this exams, you will get admission in MBA in IGNOU. But, there is no entrance exam are for Symbiosis. If you are interested to do MBA from Symbosis, then you will get direct admission in Symbosis................. |

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
If you are intersted in doing MBA through Correspondance you can do it through IGNOU also. Yes you are right there too many fields in MBA and one really gets confused which to join . You can go for INternational business if intersted in international transaction, Marketiong if too frank and like too communucate peoples, Go for HR if have managerail skill and have leadership quality , ifgood in accounts de4aling go for MBA finance which is one of the best and requires hard work here you have to compete with CA/CS.
By doing MBA in any stream you can go for rseaerch work also. But after doing PGDM courses you will have to work in industry. So according to your choice make a right decision BEst of luck!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
hi frend, fee structures are not same for all the colleges dear.you asked about m.b.a course in correspondence okay.then,in IGNOU UNIVERSITY THERE PARTS MAA..I MEAN THERE WILL BE CONCEPTS...BUT DOING M.B.A CORESSPONDENCE IS VERY TOUGH YAAR..BUT,I PREFER YOU TO DO M.B.A IN REGULAR.AND FOR TERM EXAM,YOU CAN WRITE 4 PAPERS ..FEE CAN NEARLY 5OOO FOR EACH..YOU WILL STUDY THE CONCEPTS IN DEPTH WHERE THE AVERAGE STUDENTS CAN NOT GRASP IT AT ONCE IN SINGLE LEARNING..IT IS ALMOST EQUIVALENT TO CA COURSE IN WHERE YOU CAN GET THROUGH THE CONCEPT OF CA,ICWA...THE STANDARDS WILL BE VERY HIGH REI..MOREOVER...M.B.A MEANS IT'S OF GAINING KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE COMPANIES.IN SIMPLE,GATHERING INFORMATION OF THE BUSINESS WORLD MY FRIEND..SO,IT'S UR CHOICE TO CHOOSE AND SUGGESTION FEE WILL BE MORE FOR UNIVERSITIES LIKE IGNOU....AND YOU CAN HAV BATTER JOBS..IF YOU HAVE THIS DEGREE

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
HI!
You can choose any specialization in MBA like finance, marketing, HR, international business, hospitality, banking & insurance, retail management etc. depending upon your interest, knowledge, skill & potential to excel in a particular field. Pursuing MBA through distance mode has nothing to do with selection of specialization except that the college from where you are pursuing correspondence MBA offers the desired specialization. Admission to MBA course is generally held twice in a year - in the month of july & in the month of november. |

Re: Which stream to prefer in MBA through correspondence?
hi friend,
MBA students can study foreign investment, accounting, finance,FEMA, marketing, statistics, management,Liberalization, economics, strategy, deregulization, policy, hrd, leadership and similar courses. The MBA was developed because people with technical backgrounds getting promoted into management are not always able to manage, and people in management often don't understand the technical fields they manage. That's why MBA programs prefer students with degrees in other than business and with 2-4 years of work experience. Their graduates learn to manage and can speak the language of the people they manage, whether that is engineering, chemistry, medicine, music, or any other field. So please do know by yourself that in which stream you are working in or going to work in future. If you are still confuse than select marketing as a default option. Since most of the major subjects are not offered by all colleges. |
