Hi i'm doing mca and want to attend ugc net wth computer science and applications....kindly provide me ugc net study materials

Dear friend,
If you are interested in UGC NET examination
Then you will have to fulfill these criteria :

Qualifying examinations for UGC-NET

The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can
appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized
university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam.



Age Qualification for UGC-NET

The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.
The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit.
Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or
women or visually handicapped.

For giving UGC NET u have to master Degree. You can choose any subject from your master degree.
UGC NET consists of three papers
1) General studies (50 objective questions)
2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

Yes , MCA student are applicable for NET exam.

Those candidate are scored 55% above in Masters degree are applicable for NET exam.

Hi! If u are a final year student of MCA, you can apply for UGC-NET. Dont rely on any study material for this exam. Refer reputed universities' web sites and note down the recommended books for each subject in CS. Go through the syllabus (u can download it from ugc's official web site) and try to study those books.

Hello Friend,

NET stands for National Eligibility Test

It is the exam which determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals.

UGC conducts NET twice a year (june and dec).

I have attached the syllabus of computer science and applications

Kindly make note of it and start preparing for that.

~If you can secure minimum 55% of marks at post graduation level then you can apply for this exam.

~Reserved categories needs to secure only 50% of marks for this exam.

~Even final year students can also apply for this exam.

~For junior research fellowship the upper age limit is 28 years.

~For lectureship post there is no upper age limit as such.

~A 5 years age relaxation is provided to the SC/ST candidates. Relaxation is also provided to candidates with research experience and those who have LLM degrees

~The recently concluded UGC NET exam was mainly an objective test where the syllabus was same but the question pattern was more straight forward and less descriptive.

~There will be three papers and minimum 40% of marks needs to be secured in the first one and 35% each in both the second and third one.
