SBI Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification:-

~You need to get minimum 60% of marks at 10+2 level. For reserved category candidates it is 55% in aggregate.

(OR)

~If you have a diploma degree then also the same percentage of marks needs to be secured. The degree should be a regular one and its duration should not be less than two years.

(OR)

~If you have a bachelor's degree then you need to get the pass marks since the minimum percentage to obtain have not been mentioned.

Age Criteria:-

~Minimum Age limit for giving this exam is 18 years. Upper age limit for general category candidate is 28 years.

~There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

1. SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
2. OBC Candidates: 3 years relaxation

Selection Procedure:-

~By merely satisfying the eligibility criteria does not guarantee you a seat. You have to cross two stages or hurdles to get selected finally. They are as follows:-

1. Written Examination
2. Selection Procedure

~You need to pass in each and every paper of the written exam and there is one minimum qualifying marks which needs to be attained. This minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the bank after assessing the overall performance of the candidates who have applied for this exam. There will be however 5% relaxation in the marks to obtain for the reserved category candidates.

Written Examination:-

~There will be overall five sections to attempt and you need to do well in each and every paper. Mainly objective type questions will be asked and for the exam you need to to stress on the following sections:-

1. General Awareness
2. General English
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning Ability
5. Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge

~Except for the English paper rest of the papers can be given in either in English or Hindi depending on which language you are most comfortable in.

~Over reliance on wild guessing should be avoided completely because there will be negative marking for each wrong answer you give. 0.25 marks will be deducted from your original score for each wrong answer you give.

~For the interview session generally they calls for a maximum of three people for one single post vacant. While taking the final decision marks of both the written exam and personal interview session will be considered.

~A certain percentage of marks needs to be secured in the interview session too to guarantee selection. For the reserved candidates though there will be 5% relaxation.
