Hi friend,
Yes of course studying autocad will help an Elctronics engineer in his career in future. There are many CASE tools associated with CAD that are important to materialise the chip designs and as well as system design. So surely one should go for learning autocad keeping its importance in mind. |

Even if it doesnt help then that doesnt mean that you skip this important computer course. Yes it will be helpful for you in your job placements.
Since nowadays the electronic chips are first designed on autocad to get a preview instead of paper and pencil So studying some computer applications like Autocad,Java,C,C++ and others are always helpful in long run Cheers |

Both CAD and Auto CAD are softwares used for designing and modelling. If you have interest in desiging objects, drafting engineering drawings etc. you can do this course and it will definitely help your career. Merely studying this course will not help in your career. Apart from this you need to have an interest in drawing and you should have creativity, then only you can make the best use of both CAD and Auto CAD.

To be frank, CAD and AUTOCAD softwares are mainly used for civil and mechanical departments only since they use to design a house or power plant. As an additional course, CAD and AUTOCAD turns a person into Design Engineer. It doesnt help an ECE student in anyway. One of my friends is working as Design Engineer in Dubai with huge salary. So, you can also opt for course if you need to become Design Engineer. All the best.

AutoCAD is a basic CAD package so its Important to study but don't concentrate fully on it because today there are many options are available which are faster than this.
So first try to find out these options. |

dear friends,
it is said that study never goes invain. the auto cad is tools through which we can make the different model and design. and it is very very importants for the mechanical engineers. so it is not too much helpful for the electronics and communication students. |

i particularly think that CAD AND AUTOCAD are not for the ECE branch because these courses are basically designed for MECHANICAL AND AUTOMOBILE so i would suggest you to take even the most useful and good courses for ECE they are: EMBEDED SYSTEMS VLSI MATLAB GOOD DAY.............. |

definitely CAD and AUTOCAD knowledge will be a great bonus for ECE students...it will teach the practical and real time view of so many circuits and networks that is unimaginable from our brain..like it says seeing is believing...people says that CAD may be for Mech and Civil students but there are also other application of CAD which is very useful for ECE also....
