Quote:
The full marks of GATE would be 100 marks. It will contain objective questions only. The GATE question paper for all stream will contain a GENERAL APTITUDE section. This will contain 5 single mark questions and 5 double marks question. A total of 15 marks from GENERAL APTITUDE Section. The rest of the questions will come from the technical stream. The technical part of the question paper (Except Geology-Geophysics, Engineering Sciences and Life Sciences) will contain 25 single mark questions and 30 double marks questions. For complete details please refer the attachment. |

You can know about the each subject weightage in gate2012 after recieving of your gate booklet during the papplication process.
and RK Kanodia is the best book for an ECE student. But I suggest refer the reference books first and then use Kanodia in the last few months. Refer the following URL for detailed study procedure for GATE |

Re: Subjectwise weightage in GATE? Which books to be referred?
To get pass in the gate exam, you should go through all your engineering subjects. Follow only the foreign author books. It will helpful for you to get higher score in the gate examination.
while studying for the engineering examination, don't study in the exam point of view. study all the subjects in the practical manner. while studying itself prepare for the gate exam also. Then only you should not spend time for the gate exam separately. Good luck |

Re: Subjectwise weightage in GATE? Which books to be referred?
dear friend,
The best way for the M.Tech is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) which is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones such that One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven I.I.T.s(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Ma dra s,Delhi) through this examination you can take admission in India's top most colleges. Besides this I have mentioned some important books which will help you in practice session and please collect different books of Gate fouram books from library .These books are : 1. GATE 2012 by G.K.Publishers 2. GATE 2012 by Handa 3. Quantative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwall For subject wise weight-age please see the attachment : ~regards~ priyo |
