Syllabus would be specific to the discipline you opted for. Emphasis would be on assessing the basic knoweldge and problem solving capability of the candidate rather than on memory. General English, General Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude etc would NOT be assessed.
By the way, BARC Training Schools have announced recruitment of engineering graduates (as Scientific Officers) for the year 2012. Last date for online application is 31 March 2012. The site is barconlineexam.in
