From where should I get the syllabus for food inspector examination of 2011?

The exam for food inspector consisits of two papers.
1. General studies and
2. The second paper covers the entire area of food including definations, classification and analysys of all the food products, food compositions, etc.

1st paper includes the following area of study

1. General Science
2. Current Events of National nad International Importance.
3. History of India.
4. Indian National Movement.
5. Indian Polity and Economy.
6. World Geography and Population.

The test pattern comprises of questions on technical side, which includes science subjects.

It also consists of numerical ability and GK questions.

There will also be an English language test.

The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

Candidates need to be very careful in attending the unknown questions, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.




Syllabus of Food Inspector exam is:


1. General Studies : The paper of General Studies will include question on the following topics :-
1. General Science
2. Current Events of National nad International Importance.
3. History of India.
4. Indian National Movement.
5. Indian Polity and Economy.
6. World Geography and Population.


2. Mathematics-

Number System, HCF, LCM, Simplification, Decimal Fractions, Ratio and Proportions, Unitary Method, Percentage, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Average, Simple and Compound Interest, Menstruation (2D and 3D), Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency


3. Mental Ability (Reasoning)-
Number Series, Alphabet Series, Test of Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Number Ranking, Arithmetical Reasoning, Problem on Age Calculation, Blood Relations, Analogy, Decision Making, Syllogism, Statement and Conclusion, Statement and Argument, Non Verbal Series, Mirror Images, Cubes and Dice, Grouping Identical Figures, Embedded Figures


4. English Language-
Verb, Adverb, Subject Verb Agreement, Error Correction, Tenses, Sentence Rearrangement, Fill in the Blanks with Modals, Articles etc, Comprehension , Answering questions based on Unseen Passages, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms
