hi...i am a final yr b.sc(ct) student preparing for tancet mca...what are the topics that i need to give importance while preparing quantitative aptitude...

The test will cover all the topics of the quantitative aptitude so if not possible to do the entire things atleast try to have their basic concepts. The Quantitative aptitude book by R.S. Agarwal is good and you can rely on it.

well quantitative aptitude is vast in itself ,so just be specific,prepare busniness maths,problems on trains,tsd, and some other topics.

some of the topics which need more attention are
1)number system
2)percentage,profit-loss,ratio and proportion
3)mensuration and heights and distances
4)permutation,combination and probability

i suggest you to follow the syllbus and the paper pattern
