Re: Is there any scope in MD in Biochemistry?
Dear friend.
If you are pursuing M.sc in medical biochemistry then you should opt for qualifying Junior Research Fellowship exam conducted by CSIR. Also this exam is common for all life science stream students viz. biochemistry, botany, zoology, biotechnology etc. By qualifying this exam you will be given a monthly scholarship of 16000/ rs per month and also HRA depending upon the location of your institute from where you are pursuind phd. Now coming to your question, you can go for PhD after finishing your M.sc in the area of your working interest. After PhD you are allowed to join any institute of interest as a lecturer or can join any company's research division and work as project head. If you need further information, you are free to ask. I am attaching syllabus of JRF herewith. |
