please tell me how to crack cds exam. i am very intrested to become a army officer

There are many ways to join the Army like NDA,CDSE



To crack the entrance exam you should be able to answer the multiple question very quickly there will be very shortage of the time so for the quick reply improve your GK,current affair and English



To clear the descriptive question your writing speed should be fast and you must reply to the point grammatical mistake should not be there


To clear SSB take coaching before appearing the SSB exam

Be medically fit

As you have opted to become an Army officer,you have to be mentally strong.The Indian Army provides a range of exciting careers. For writing the CDS exam you have to concentrate on your subjects as well as a good kowledge of general knowlege.

You can refer:
Exam:Upkar books,Gupta's CDS EXAM books.
G.K.: CSR refresher,Frontline,Manorama etc.

After passing out this written exam they will call you up for the SSB exam.

for cds exam you should study the newspaper daily ,and make note of all the important thing happening daily,
also prepare for the ncert 10th class maths
for history read the ncert 10th and 12th class history books
you should have keen interest that are happening in society

As i know if you want to crack CDS exam then you have to do solve the mock test paper as much possible and try to solve the sample and previous year papers.

Combined Defense Services is conducted by UPSC twice every year.

• C.D.S. EXAM.(I), 2011=13.02.2011 (SUNDAY)
• C.D.S. EXAM.(II), 2011=18.09.2011 (SUNDAY)

For Eligibility for CDSE 2011 :-
(i) For IMA and OTA :- Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
For IMA 19 - 24 years

(ii) For Naval Academy :- B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For NA 19 - 22 years

(iii) For Air Force Academy :-Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
For AFA 19 - 23 years
For OTA 19 - 25 years

If you are appearing at the degree or equivalent examination also eligible to compete subject to certain conditions.
Means Final year students are also Eligible to write.

Tips to crack:-

• CDS exam consists of General knowledge including knowledge of current events, History & Geography of India
  
• Current Events material of any book you buy please make sure it includes these very important like awards, winner etc.
  
• Now For History & Geography of India just go through NCERT's books
  
• But If you think that you have no time for reading these books then no worries you may buy a book for CDSE which includes Indian History and Geography,
  
• here I would recommend Upkar Prakashan

This book covered all syllabus and topics for CDSE.

You don't need any coaching for Cracking CDS, you can do it.

Scene After cracking CDS

• You will get call letter there after 2 months.
• You have to crack SSB to join into Army, Air forc or Navy.
• After cracking SSB you will be treating in Medicals, if you are fit in Medicals then your name will be forward ahead for Merit List.
• If you come under the merit list then you are a officer, a commissioned officer.

first you should know that an should be used before a word like officer, it should be "an officer" and not a officer as mentioned above.

There will be questions from 10th level math.Read daily news paper,magazines and some GK books having Indian history,Indian polity and economics.Grasp some word power from the dictionary.Also prepare for SSB simultaneously.Make yourself physically fit.Best of luck!

CDS exam is conducted by UPSC for the entry into the Indian Army.
It consist of two test- Written exam
SSB interview

In order to sit for SSB interview, you need to clear the written exam.
The minimum qualification needed for this exam is graduate of any course.
For written exam, I would suggest you to get RS Agarwal book for maths and for other paper, you can get a book printed specially for CDS exam. Preparing from this material, you can easily qualify for SSB interview.
SSB interview consist of 5 full days to check your knowledge, character, team player, communication, mentality, pshycology, etc. So, you need to start speaking english only, that also with confidence and improve your current affairs.

First try to clear the written exam. Then you can plan later for SSB interview.

For CDS exam you have to be strong in general awareness and gk. read lots of NCERT books in Indian history as well as in your graduate subjects.
For interview you have to have to focus personality.

And for written first buy a ahrihant book previous year paper ...see the paper wat tye of question ask in exam wat is ur standard right now.......it is not very diffcult it is ur hardwork which make it easy......

what are the subjects to be given for IMA or OTA exam only.maths is compulsory or not?

Eligibility criteria for CDS:
1. your age must be within 16.5-19 years.
2. For Army wing of NDA:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education conducted by a State Education Board.
3. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA:- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board.
4. Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to NDA.
There are two steps of the exam- Written test and Interview.
Written test comprises of 2 subjects:
1. Mathematics: 300marks
2. General Ability Test: 600marks
Application form details:
UPSC have developed an application form which can be processed on computer. This application form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application will be available from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices throughout the country.

CDS Means Combined Defence Service Entrance Examination and held twice in a year by Union Public Service Commission.

A student with three years Bachelor degree course are make the candidate take part in this CDS Entrance Examination .

Science stream with Physics and Mathematics required in order to Join in Defence Service Entrance Examination.

So,If you complete Graduation course then you're eligible to Take part in this CDS Entrance Examination .

Tips to prepare for this Entrance Examination :-

-Start preparation before 6 Months of the Entrance Examination.

-Carefully go throught the previous question for CDS Entrance Examination.

-You should Clear Your Basics doubt with the you're metric Books.

-You should have good Knowledge in Mensuration, Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistic, Logarithm, Number System and Table etc.

-You should be well practice for this Entrance Examination
