i want to know the top NIT institutes in aerospace.

Hello friend,

There is no NIT which offer Aerospace engineering. All IITs and IISc have Aerospace engg branch.

Very few institutes offer this course. Other than IITs these are the colleges providing Aerospace engg:
Punjab Engineering College

Noorul Islam College Of Engineering

Anna University

All the best!

This is a big question mark. I just googled the information and i found that some NITs offer aeronautical engineering like the best ones are

NIT Warangal
NIT Trichy
NIT Surathkal
NIT Kurukshetra

But when i visited their site they didnt have aeronautical engg in their list of programmes. But in the brochure its mentioned that aerospace is there in NITs. So i guess these NITs have aerospace but they havent mentioned in their site. Dont know why...

Maybe you can conform about this with the college authorities...

Aerospace engineering as an undergraduate career may not be a good option as this will narrow your study options. rather than that you should go for mechanical engineering with NITs having good research programs for fluid mechanics. Alternatively if you are sure for going for that field then go for equivalent institutes like PEG(Punjab Engineering College). Please note that for post graduation some institutes have some restrictions for Aerospace Engineer for admission in equivalent programs than mechanical engineers.

Few Deemed universities offer Aerospace Engineering .No NIT offers Aerospace Engineering. It is for sure because I had just mailed the same doubt to Chairman of NIT Surathkal and he mailed me the following information.
Institutes offering Aerospace Engineering Degrees:

Indian Institute of Science (IISc)
Almost all IITs (Indian Institute of Technology)
Hindustan Inst of Engineering Technology, Chennai
Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Dehradun
Academy of Aerospace and Aviation, Indore
Hope you had find your answer. Please ask if you have any other doubts.

nit chandigarh is one of the best.
rest nits are not so preferrable.

aeronautics is most sought after engg.
in india there are 1432 seats in various colleges from iit ,nit to iist.

nit suratkhal is one known good for aerospace.
otherwise all remain the same.

nit warangal. nit surathkal, nit trichy are the top nit institutes having aerospace engineering. there are also many other good colleges which are having aerspace engg like iiit, iist etc

as much i know there are only some colleges which are offer aerospace engineering.

and you can get that by joining in IIT.
