total seat of govt and private b.tech engineering college in west bengal

Generally the number of government seats and private seats keep changing, specially in the case of private colleges.

There are nearly 2500-3000 seats for engineering in different stream in west bengal in government colleges starting from jadavpur, shibpur to all other engineering colleges. The number is constant in a approximate way and does not changes much.

In case of private colleges, it keep changing as every year new private colleges for engineering keep coming up resulting in increase of seats for private colleges in west bengal Hence it becomes difficult to count the exact number of seats but still in approximately it is around 50000 seats in private colleges, the number in private colleges is huge as you can see but that is never constant, as every year new colleges keep coming.
