I have seen ugc net dec exam notice, but cannot find computer science as an subject, now when can i give ugc net exam for computer science?

Hello friend,
December exam is scheduled for CSIR-UGC NET. The examination wil be conducted for science subjects which do not include computer science. The UGC NET exam for Computer science will be held in the month of June next year, i.e. 2011.

in december examination computer subject is not there.

If you have not yet applied for the CSIR-NET December exam then you won't be able to appear the exam.
The last date of sale of application form is over.
You can apply for NET exam to be held in Jun.
The notification in Feb or after, next year.

Good news! Computer science subject is included in UGC NET, December, 2010 exam.

I think you have not seen the notification carefully. At the end of the notification the list of NET subjects along with their respective codes are given.

Computer Science and Applications subject is mentioned there & its code is 87.

The NET exam is conducted by the University Grants Commission or the UGC.

The exam is held twice in a year. Once in June and once in December.

You can appear for the Computer Science and Application exam of NET in the moth of June 2011.
The examination schedule is as follows:

*Application Submission Start Date: final week of March, 2011
*Application Submission End Date: final week of April, 2011
*Last date for reception a documents : final week of April, 2011
*UGC NET 2010 Examination Date: 26th June, 2011

Also,December exam is scheduled to be held on: 25th December 2011

Presently, the application form or online application process for UGC-NET is not available.

UGC-NET is conducted twice every year. One in the month of June and the other in the
month of December.

The notification for the NET exam (which is conducted in June) is published in the
month of March. So, the application process will start in the same month.

sir i just want to know the exam which in going to held on June 2011 is only for science student or for all student. what is the difference between CSIR UGC and UGC NET.I'm a commerce student i have done M.com,(management) M.phil (commerce) i opted management as my subject for appear in net.Can i apply this exam online?

I have seen the application form for UGC NET June 2011. but i didn't find the COMPUTER SCIENCE option in the list . so can you please tell me how can I apply for NET exam 2011 with COMPUTER SCIENCE stream... Hi! This question has been answered alreadyunder the same topic by somebody. What u have listed here is not UGC-NET. It is CSIR-UGC subjects list. CSIR-UGC conducts similar exams for the above mentioned 5 subjects. Computer Science is not being treated as Science in their view. So you cannot find it in CSIR-UGC.

So, Please go to UGC-NET site (google it/or read the begenning portion of the replies given in this thread), and proceed. 87 is the subject code for Computer Science in UGC-NET.
