Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test(EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological(JNT) University Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India on behalf of APSCHE for getting entry into various important as well as professional courses offered in Government as well as Private Colleges in Andhra Pradesh

As you are interested in Medical,there are some offered courses such as:

MBBS
BDS
BAMS
BHMS
BNYS
BPharma
BTech (Bio-technology) etc....

so ,for the examination appearance you should satisfy some criteria such as:
1:You should be of Indian Nationality

or
Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)

or
Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

2:You should be of the state of Andhra Pradesh

3:You should pass the Intermediate Examination Public Examination (10 + 2 ) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education

4:You have to pass Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optionals including practical test in these subjects

5:Your age should be 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
There is no upper age limit,5 years relaxation for SC/ST students.

Till 2010 there was 25% weightage but just now the discussion is heated up to increase it to 50% from 2011 onwards . The decision is not yet final and government is still thinking over it.

But as for now you can consider that there is 25% but be ready to face the change as it can anytime be 50%

Till now it is just 25 % weight age of intermediate marks
BUT
In recent time the demand has been raised to increase it to 50 %

According to JNTUH (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad) in the academic year of 2010-2011 there will be 50% of weightage in EAMCET (Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test).

But not yet confirmed definetly 25% will be the weightage in EAMCET.

I have passed my intermediate examination with 91% this year i.e, in 2011 and i am a qualified student in eamcet and now i am trying for eamcet 2012 with longterm coaching.I got 22.2% from 25% IPE percentage.
My question is whether I will get 22% or 44% from 25 or 50% weightage from IPE this year as I am a longterm student.
