Age Limit for Bank Exam--
SBI Clerk- Age should be minimum 18 year and maximum 28 year. SBI PO- Age should be minimum 21 year and maximum 30 year. IBPS Clerk- Age should be minimum 18 year and maximum 28 year. IBPS PO- Age should be minimum 20 year and maximum 30 year. Specialist Officer Scale I - Minimum 20 year and Maximum 35 year. Specialist Officer Scale II - Minimum 21 year and Maximum 40 year. Relaxation for reserve candidate in upper age limit. |

The Banking Exams are conducted mainly for the following posts : a) Bank Clerks b) Bank PO The Age Limit For Bank Clerical Exams : * For General Category : 18-28 years * For OBC Category : 18-31 years * For SC/ST Category : 18-33 years * For Widow / Divorced Women : 18-37 years * For Physically Handicapped : 18-38 years The Age Limit For Bank PO Exams : * For General Category : 21-30 years * For OBC Category : 21-33 years * For SC/ST Category : 21-35 years * For Widow / Divorced Women : 21-39 years * For Physically Handicapped : 21-40 years This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA - Educational Qualifications- General Candidates and others - 60% or more marks in class XII and 55% or more marks in Graduation or Post Graduation. Age - Not below 21 years and not above 30 years. Wish you good luck... |

Banking examinations are conducted for the posts of Clerk and PO every year by SBI(State Bank of India) and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection). The age limits for bank Clerk and PO examinations are prescribed as below:- 1. Clerk:- * 18-28 yrs:- General contendors. * 18-31 yrs:- OBC contendors. *18-33 yrs:- SC/ST contendors. * 18-37 yrs:- Divorced/Widow women contendors. * 18-38 yrs:- PWD contendors. 2. BANK exams are held for the Post of:
PO- Minimum age to apply is 21 years Maximum age to apply is 30 years OBC Candidates can apply till 33 years SC/ST candidates can apply till 35 years CLERKS Minimum age to apply is 20 years Maximum age to apply is 28 years OBC Candidates can apply till 31 years SC/ST candidates can apply till 33 years Specialist Officers Scale 1: Minimum age to apply is 20 years Maximum age to apply is 35 years OBC Candidates can apply till 38 years SC/ST candidates can apply till 40 years |

The banking examination for PSU Banks are conducted in India for different kind of posts and the age limit varies for different post.
The Bank exams are conducted by IBPS and SBI seperately. IBPS conducts for 20 PSU banks and SBI conducts for SBI and its Associates. Age limit for Bank Clerical: The age should be between 18 to 28 years for General Category Candidates. Age limit for Bank PO: The age should be between 21 to 30 years for General Category candidates. Age limit for Bank Specialist Officers: Age should be between 21 to 35 years for General category. As you can see the above age limit is for General Category. Other categories get age relaxation which is as follows. SC/ST Category- 5 years relaxation OBC Category - 3 years relaxation PWD Category - 10 years relaxation So if you have age according to above criteria then you are definitely eligible for it. The selection in Banks exam will depend on the marks in the written exam and personal interview. There are good number of job opportunities in various banks from the past few years. The candidates who are applying for bank jobs are also going on increasing.
The entry level positions in various banks will be Clerical Positions Probationary Officers The selection procedure for both the positions will be Written Exam Interview After IBPS came into picture, it is conducting common written exam for the recruitment of above mentioned positions for all public sector banks. In the case of private sector, each and every bank will be having its own selection procedure. Here is the eligibility criteria to apply for this exam. For Clerical positions: Completion of Graduation with any of the stream. For PO positions Completion of Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% of marks. Age criteria : Age should be between 20-28 years. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category. Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. The candidate should be a citizen of India.l The candidate should be having computer knowledge. You did not mention your age and highest level of academic qualification. If you possess the above mentioned criteria, then you can prepare for bank exams and crack it. Wish you all the best. |
