Indian Army is one of the wing of National Defence Acedemy. This NDA exam is conducted by UPSC. i.e twice in a year.This NDA exam sis conducted every year in the months of April and August.i.e NDA I and NDA II.

NDA has three wings:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force

Indian Army details:

Nationality:

Candidate should be citizen of India.

Education qualification:

Candidate should complete Secondary Education (12th standard) from any recognized state board of India.

Age limit:

candidate age limit is Minimum 16.5 years

Candidate age limit is Maximum 19 years.

There is no upper age relaxation.





Important:

Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

Females are not eligible for this exam.

Physical Requirements for NDA

Army wings ==> Acceptable height is 157.5 cms .

Navy wings ==> Acceptable height is 157 cms .

Air force ==> Acceptable height is 162.5 cms .

Eyesight: Eyesight of the candidate must be 6/6.

Chest should be well developed. Fully expanded chest should not be less than 81 cms. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cms.

As you have done 12th, you are eligible for Officer in Indian Army through NDA.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Foprce wing of NDA.

The age limit for Indian Amy of NDA is from 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate.

Apart from this, the eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with good Physical and Mental health. can apply for Indian Army of NDA.

Age Limit To Join Indian Army

After 10+2..you can opt to join the Indian Army by appearing for the National Defence Academy Examination..

The NDA Exam is held every year by the UPSC in the months of April and August..

The minimum qualifications which you must possess in order to apply for the NDA are :-

1) You must be an unmarried male applicant..

2) Your minimum educational qualification should 10+2 pass out from a school which is recognized by a central or a state board..

3) The age limit for appearing in NDA is 16.5 years to 19 years..

4) There is no percentage restriction or any limit on the number of attempts for NDA..

5) There is no age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam..

You have passed out 12th hence you are definitely eligible to appear for NDA provided you satisfy the age criterion..

There are 3 stages in the NDA :-

1) Written Test (General Ability Test & Maths)

2) Personal Interview

3) Physical Examination Round

It am very happy to see your interest in joining Indian Army. As you have done/completed 12th , you can join the Indian Army through the NDA Examination.

The NDA Examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The Exam is conducted twice every year as NDA-I & NDA-II.

The NDA-I Exam is conducted in the month of April whereas the NDA-II Exam is conducted in the month of August.

Apart from Indian Army , you can join the following wings too through clearing the NDA Exam :

As you have mentioned that you have done your 10+2 from a recognized board ,there are two options for you to join the Indian Army :

1.National defense academy exams:

>>It is conducted by the UPSC twice every year in the month of April and in August respectively.

Eligibility criteria :

>>You are satisfying the academic eligibility and now you need to satisfy the other criteria like :

>>The minimum age limit is 16.5 years and the upper age limit is 19 years .No age relaxations applicable to anyone .

>>You must be an Indian citizen.

>>Marital status : Unmarried only.

>>Sex: Must be male candidates as female candidates are not allowed to appear for exam.

>>you must satisfy the physical requirements.

Examination pattern:

>>1.Written test: It contains questions from the mathematics of 300 marks and duration three hours.

>>The second paper is of general knowledge and science and english of 900 marks and duration three hours.

2.Service selection Board: It is of 5-6 days and contains medical examination along with personal interview.

2.Technical entry scheme:
