i want to know which book is the best book for fluid mechanics and which book is more useful for competitive exams?

for fluid mechanics basics....s.l arora is very good.....and for competative exams for phy h.c. verma,tmh....for chem r.c mukherjee and arihant and for maths k.das gupta and arihant.

Since,you are an engineer I will advice you to go for (Concepts of physics) by
H.C.Verma for clearing your basic concept of fluid mechanics,which is also used by IIT-JEE preparing and B.sc.(physics hons.) students.


For further you can use books of Tata mcgraw & hill's.

please read the book by franz durtz an introduction to theory of fluid flow it is nice book and narayana N. Pillai, C.R. Ramakrishnan,Principles Of Fluid Mechanics And Fluid Machines.. good for competitive exams also ..good base builder..
