sir,
iam student of btech final year in mechanical stream. what is best for me after complete my graduation.

Dear friend,
As you are a final year student, you will complete you B.Tech in 2012.
After this you will be eligible for various exams and government job.


if we talk about furthur education-
you are eligible to appear in GATE for M.Tech and also you can appear in CAT for MBA in IIMs and various B-Schools.


if you are intrested in government job then you should prepare for civil services as UPSC. You can select two subject as Mechanical and Physics in UPSC MAINS Exam.

you can also appear in Bank PO and SSC graduate level exam.

Doing polytechnic Diploma in Computor engneering in Punjab. What is the procedure for getting lateral entry into B Tech ? Can I change the stream while entry into B Tech Lateral entry ? Which is the best stream in 2012

"no you can not change your stream if you that you have study from starting
but you can do lateral b tech fro pritave collages
every stream is best now civil is on boom

2. Further Studies after completing B.tech in Mechanical Engineering:

After B.Tech if you are interested to higher study and technically good then you should go for M.Tech. If you do M.Tech then job opportunity scope will be more than B.Tech.

After completing M.Tech, you can join as a lecturer in any engineering institute. You will be eligible for lecturer post.

You may also go for P.hd or in research field.

Even for same post M.Tech holders are paid more by the company than a B.tech candidate & also have a senior post. so obviously if you have interest you should go for M.Tech.

for getting entry in any college surving B.Tech degree is By Aieee marks basis.and yes you can change the stream during the aieee councelling but after councelling you can't change your branch and there is no such Best stream But for top most there ara

so choose what is your area oof interest"

You are a Mechanical Final year Student so that you can prepare for internal Campus like Ispat mumbai, metro railways its easy to go trough College campus.
further after b.E. you can prepare for GATE exam, after passing GATE exam you can take addmission in M.Tech.
you may prepare for CAT exam and take admission in IIM MBA.
MBA from IIM is a Great and there are best opportunities for you

if you are interested in Govt. setor then you can prepare for Psc. ES., IES, IAS etc
and now a days bank are going for massive recruitment so you can prepare for bank P.O.

After your b.tech. in mechanical you can prepare for govt. jobs, my opinion is that you should prepare for UPSC examination like IES, this is the best way for any engineering graduates.
other then this there are many govt. field as;
1.- BHEL (bharat heavy electrical s ltd. )
2.- IOCL (Indian oil corporation ltd.)
3.- HPCL (Hindustan petroleum corporation ltd.)
4. Indian railways.
5. Indian navy.
6. SAIL (steel authority of India ltd.)

preparation for this first set a strong command on your core subjects in b. tech along with reasoning and aptitude,
i can suggest you books for reasoning and aptitude that is BARRON'S 12th edition.

best solution because if you are now in study then you have easy for reading

If you go for job then you find many software company for find one job

IIT colleges are best college for M.Tech.you should prefer these college first.
