UGC invites application for net entrance exam for lecturership twice per year.

You can apply for this exam, this is not csir combined.

I am giving you the syllabus of G.S which is common for all subjects and your subjects and question paper of previous year

Category for computer science subject in NET exam

I think you are asking about the subjects in the computer NET examination.
In the computer NET examination there will be two question papers.
Paper II and Paper III(Part A&B) Part II will have 100 objective type questions and part III will have 10 essay type questions. The candidate has to score passing marks marks in each paper to clear the examination.

The following subjects were asked in paper II and paper III

Paper II
1.Discrete Structure
2.Computer Arithmetic
3.Programing in C and C++
4.Relational database design and SQL
5.Data and file structure
6.Computer Network
7.System software and complier
8.Operating system
9.Software engineering
10.Current trends and technology

Paper III
Paper III is divided in two parts A&B part A contains 10 units
and part B have 5 elective subjects.

I have attached the syllabus and a paper with this forum which
will help you for your computer NET exams.

The subject code for UGC NET Computer Science paper is '83'.

Pattern Of Examination:
There will be 2 question papers, Paper-II and Paper-III.
Paper I will have 50 objectice type questions and will carry 100 marks.
Paper III will have 2 parts Part A & Part B.
Part A will contain 10 short essay type questions carrying 16 marks each.Total marks is 160.
Part B will be compulsory and will contain one question from each elective.Total marks 40.
So, paper III will contain a total of 200 marks.

In NET exam, objective & subjective questions are asked from the above topics.

I bought UGC NET 2012 application form.But now I am worrying about this, becz.I didn't see any subject category suitable for Computer Science. Only Life Sience,Chemical Science,Physical Science,Mathematical Science etc.are there in the Application form.
Please tell me what is the subject category of Computer Science soon.
