Sir, my son in the 12th, currently studying in a cbse school in chennai.he did his 10th from mumbai(cbse).under what category is he eligible for admission to tamil nadu govt medical colleges?

Hello

As your son is doing 12th from CBSE , he is eligible for getting admission in government medical colleges of Tamil Nadu.

For doing medical courses your son must have taken biology, physics and chemistry subjects only in 12th .

Then being in 12th he must apply for the medical common entrance exam of Tamil Nadu which will be conducted in the month of may. Other wise he can apply for the AIPMT and AIIMS colleges in Tamil Nadu by passing the entrance exam.

To do medical courses like MBBS, BDS etc following is the eligibility :

1. He must complete 12th with biology, physics and chemistry group.
2. He must have minimum 50% marks and above in 11th and 12th combined.
3. He must complete 17 years of age by 31st December of joining the 1st year course.
4. He should not have more than 25 years age.
