i am a student of 12th std from maharashtra board .can i get admission in government medical colleges in tamilnadu? on what criteria admission process goes?my parents are nativity of tamil nadu ,but we are residing in mumbai.please kindly tell me .

YES,YOU CAN GET ADMISSION BY MAKING ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE AS YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR +2 EXAMINATION FROM OTHER STATE

Selection of students under All India Quota:

The following are the eligibility criteria for the candidates selected under All India Quota scheme:-

A candidate for admission to M.B.B.S. degree course under All India Quota must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) at the qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (a) to (f) under Regulation 3 (2) above. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schduled Tribes or other Backward classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany & Zoology) taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% as above with a pass in English.

Hi .. is there entrance examination for medical studies for the upcoming year instead of common counselling in tamilnadu..? if yes, then how , when and on what basis the entrance will proceed..?

After passing 12th If you want to take admission in top Medical College in Tamil Nadu then you have to qualify the exam like
> A.I.P.M.T
> T.N-C.E.T
> J.I.P.M.E.R

You admission is depend on the basis of you rank which you secure in Entrance exam.

u have to score good marks in +2 board state exams
There is cutoff for different category
it increases each year.
So you have to score,i mean aim for 97%.You have to study hard.They make meritlist on the basis of percentage and the no of seat available

My ward in born in chennai but has studied up to 8th grade in dubai and the rest 9,10,11,12th grades in chennai . can he apply for tamilnadu medical admissions in 2014,plz clarify as the prospectus says that he should study from 8 till 12 in tamilnadu schools

native of cheranmahadevi in TIRUNELVELI DISTRICT BUT WORKED in Kerala cities in INDIAN BANK for the past twenty years Can Iget admission in TAMILNADU MEDICAL COLLEGES SINCE I HAVE SCORED 199.00 CUTOFF MARKS IN IN PLUS TWO FOR MEDICAL ADMISSION (PHYSICS-198,CHEMISTRY-198 BIOLOGY-200)

The admission in government medical college in Tamilnadu only based about higher studies (12th) marks. For cut off marks, they only considering the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology over around for 200. So the candidates must have studied these subjects. If you studied science group may also eligible. So the general process for admission in government colleges, attend the counseling when they notify. No other procedures are not followed.

If i did'nt got good marks but got good ranks in NEET. Will i get a seat in medical college?
