Eligibility Criteria For Bachelor Of Education In IGNOU University:


>>Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects
in three years except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet.

>>You must have at least one School subject at the graduation level as a main subject.

or

>>M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./Acharya securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

>>You must have at least one school subject at the graduation or post-graduation level as a main subject.

or

>> In-service teachers with 2 years full-time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis in a primary secondary/higher/senior secondary school recognized by Central or State Government or a Union Territory.

>>Student Handbook and Prospectus for B.Ed Programme - 2012 can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110 068 and from all the Regional Centers.

>>Application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a DD/IPO for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at the city of Regional centres by Registered / Speed Post to Concerned Regional Centre

Eligibility
i) Graduation or Post-Graduation Degree with fifty per cent marks: Provided that
the requirement of fifty per cent marks shall not apply to persons appointed as
teachers prior to the commencement of the National Council for Teacher
Education (Regulations Norms and Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations,
30.3.2010 and Gazette Notification dt. 26.7.2010.
ii) Two years’ full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as
Primary/Graduate/Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary/higher/senior
secondary school with registration number recognised by the respective
Directorate of Education or Central or State Government or Union Territory.
The teacher should be in service at the time of submitting application form as
well as at the time of producing the original documents at the Regional Centre.
The experience certificate should be issued by the Principal or Headmaster/
Headmistress only. The requisite teaching experience of two years must be
completed on or before the last date of submission of application as notified in
the advertisement. An attested photocopy of the Recognition and Affiliation
Certificate with Registration number issued to the school by Directorate of
Education, Central or a State Government or Union Territory must be enclosed
along with other documents at the time of submission of Entrance cum admission
form.
iii) The reservation for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) and other categories shall
be per the rules of the Central Government. There shall be relaxation of five
percent marks in favour of SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant and other categories of
candidates, if any, as per Govt. of India Rules.
iv) The candidate should submit their application form only at the concerned
Regional Centre under whose jurisdiction the working school falls.
v) Masters’ Degree awarded without a first degree is not accepted for purpose of
Academic Studies in IGNOU.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites applications for admission to degree/ diploma programmes in management, (Diploma in Management, PG Diploma in Management, PG Diploma in Human Resource Management, PG Diploma in Financial Management, PG Diploma in Operations Management, PG Diploma in Marketing Management) OPENMAT-XXXII, M.Ed., B.Ed. and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (OPENNET-II) for January 2013 session through entrance tests to be held on August 19, 2012 all over the country.

Student Handbook and Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar (SRD), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and also from all the Regional Centres by sending a sum of Rs.550/- through a demand draft/ IPO in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi or city of the concerned Regional Centre or by paying Rs.500/- in cash at the sale counters at these places. The last date for receipt of request for Student Handbook and Prospectus by post is June 30, 2012.*

Application Form and Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website www.ignou.ac.in. and sent along with draft/ IPO for Rs.550/- in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi by Registered/Speed Post to Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 (for Management Programmes and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme) and to the concerned Regional Centre (for M.Ed. and B.Ed. programmes). Prospectus will be sent to such applicants after receipt of Rs. 550/-. The last date for the submission of the forms is on or before July 15, 2012.
