M.Tech stands for Master of Technology and the course is divided four semester and duration of course is 2 years . To apply for the M.Tech course then you must have a completed your B.tech degree from a recognized Institution or equivalent qualification . If you are completed B.Tech degree then definitely you are eligible to apply for this examination .

Entrance Examination ::

• Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
• Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test
• SRM Entrance Examination
• VITEE Examination
• PGECET Examination

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and this examination is conducted by IIT Once in a year for admission in M.Tech course in various IIT'S Institution across the country . This year examination has been completed and Next announcement will be publish in the month of Sept or Oct in the official website of GATE as well as employment news paper .

Eligibility Criteria for GATE ::

~~ The applicant must have a completed B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply .

~~ The applicant who are completed MA/MCA/M.Sc from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply .

~~ Those who are completed Integrated Master Program OR Dual Degree Programme from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply .

~~ Pre-final year candidates are not eligible to apply .

Eligibility Criteria for TANCET ::

~~ The applicant must have a completed B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year of degree course may also eligible to apply .

~~ The applicant must secure at least 50% marks and 45% marks for reserved categories .

For taking admission in M.Tech Course you will have to apply for GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).This exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology every year.Exam notification for GATE Comes in the month of September every year.For this year it will comes in the month of September.Its Entrance will be taken in the January 2014.

To apply for this exam you will require to meet these Eligibility conditions :

Educational qualification (in any one):-

• You should have a 4 years Engineering degree from recognized university.
• You should have Post Graduation degree in Computer Application.
• You should have Integrated Post Graduation degree of 4 years in Information Technology/Computer Application.

Exam pattern of GATE :-

• Question will be divided into four sections.
• Total number of questions will be 65.
• Total marks for this exam will be 100.

4. Numerical answer questions.
