You being B. Com, can take direct registration at Intermediate level. In Intermediate level, you have to clear six subjects arranged in two groups of three each. You can opt for Postal coaching or oral coaching. In postal coaching, you have to reply to the test papers within the prescribed period. Oral coaching takes place at Regional Centres, chapters, etc. You pay additional money for oral coaching. For Final, you have eight subjects arranged in two groups of 4 each. Here also, you have the choice of postal or oral coaching. Exams take place twice in a year. You can set the pace of your learning. If you set a comfortable pace, you can finish the Intermediate and Final each in 18 months. In between, you have to take some compulsory training like computers, soft skills, etc. Further, you should have 3 years practical training, which could very well be had in parallel with your studies. After passing the Final, a 15 day modular training is completed. Then you an Associate Member, ie AICWA. Registration takes place around the year. No entrance tests, no group discussions or anything of that sort. They also help you in placement. The charges are like this: Prospectus Rs. 200 Intermediate Rs. 15,700/- (4K extra for oral coaching) Final Rs. 11,500/- (5K extra for oral coaching) Modual training fee Rs. 4000/- Examination fee: Intermediate 1600/- Final 2250/- Please refer ICWAI website at http://www.icwai.org/icwainew/index.asp. All the best. |

Re: What is the duration and fee structure of ICWAI?
There is nothing preventing you from taking up ICWAI. 10+2 is the basic eligibility. No age limits.
You being an MBA would get exemption from the Foundation level. In fact, you may find it somewhat easy because some of the subjects would have been already covered by you in the MBA course. |

Since you are a graduate, you will be exempted from the foundation stage of the Cost and Work Accountancy course and will be eligible to enroll directly for the second stage, known as the Intermediate Course which is later followed by the Final Course. The course apart from these stages also includes computer training as well as management training.
