The duration of M.Tech course is 2 years. This course is applicable for graduates. The candidates must have completed MCA, B.Tech, or M.Sc in any of the areas of engineering. For pursuing the M.Tech course, one has to qualify in GATE. The exam is conducted by IISC and 7 IIT. GATE is considered to be a benchmark test for engineering graduates. Some of the PSU’s that give preference to GATE scores are HAL, NPIL, BARC, etc.

i have been hearing since months that duration of m.tech course(regular) will be done for 3 years from 2013 batch onwards. is that true?
