What is the eligibility criteria for MSc Geology in DU?
Respected sir, i will be pursuing my final year in b.sc next year having subjects (geology,chemistry,botany and environmental science as optional in 2nd year) and want to know the elegibility and way to apply for m.sc geology in delhi university

Hello friend,if you have passed B.Sc examination with Geology and combination of any two of the following subjects: Physics/ Chemistry/Maths/Botany/Zoology/Environmental Science (including Geology).with 50% or above marks in Geology from any recognized University.

To get admission in any M.Sc courses in DU, you have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the university. You must have completed B.Sc in Geology from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognised by the University of Delhi as equivalent. You should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in geology. Also, the candidates who have done B.Sc.(Genl.) with Geology and combination of any two of the subjects Physics/Maths/Chemistry/Environmental science/Zoology/Botany/Geography. These candidates require at least 60% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in geology.

It seems that you are interested in doing M.Sc course.
The eligibility criteria for M.Sc is--) 1.you should hold a bachelor degree 2.if that bachelor degree is B.Sc(computers) it is more useful for your career. 3.you should write I-CET for doing M.C.A or M.B.A 4.For M.Sc(IT) you should qualify in AU-CET 5.this is the eligibility for M.Sc(IT) and M.C.A For more queries, you can clear your doubts in this educational forum website. |

M.SC Geology IN DELHI UNIVERSITY (DU) : ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :-- Bachelor degree in B.SC (Geology Hons.) (3 years course after 10+2 ) from Delhi university or any recognized University. Minimum 50% marks in Aggregate . You must have passed B.Sc.(Genl.) examination with Geology and combination of any two of the following subjects:- Physics/Chemistry/Maths/Botany/Zoology/Environmental Science/ Geography (besides Geology). Selection Procedure for Admission in Delhi University (DU): On the basis of merit in the Common Entrance Test to be conducted by the Faculty of Science. OR 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit based on marks (B.SC HONS ) HOW TO APPLY FO ADMISSION IN DU : The Prospectus and Application Form can be obtained in person from the Office of the Faculty of Science, Unit-I, Pota Cabin, Near Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, Delhi - 110007 . on all working days between 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. As far as the eligibility criteria for MSc Geology in DU is concern for that You must have completed B.Sc in Geology from Delhi University or any other University whose examination is recognised by the University of Delhi as equivalent. You should have passed the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in geology. Or if you have passed B.Sc examination with Geology and combination of any two of the following subjects: Physics/ Chemistry/Maths/Botany/Zoology/Environmental Science (including Geology).with 50% or above marks in Geology from any recognized University Good luck.... |

Respected sir,presently m studying bsc in geology along with chemistry and botany as side subject.Bt i doubt that will i b able to do msc in petrology ,since i am taking botany as one of the core subject
