Dear friend,

Geology is a subject with a huge field, so you can not only read some
specific books. Every book explains some points very good and misses
some points.
So first of all i would suggest you to see the syllabus of the exam and
start preparing keeping the syllabus in mind.You can get the syllabus on
the official website of UPSC, www.upsc.gov.in.
