What is the eligibility to write Engineering Services Examination Prelims?

Can I give Engineering Services Examination (ESE) Prelims while being in 3rd year of my B.Tech? I've attended 21 years of age. Or, do I need to complete my B.Tech degree? And, who conducts this ESE Prelims examination?

Default Re: What is the eligibility to write Engineering Services Examination Prelims?

ESE refers to Engineering Services Examination often known as IES (Indian Engineering Services) examination. It is held by UPSC once every year.

The minimum education required for appearing in ESE is a degree in engineering i.e; B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent from a recognized university approved by AICTE. Students pursuing final year of their degree course are also eligible.

So, being a student of 3rd year of B.Tech degree course, you are not eligible for appearing in ESE at this stage, but you can appear in the same examination from next year.

For more details regarding ESE, you can refer to the link www.upsc.gov.in.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
