I am working in public sector organisation in Tamil Nadu. My annual salary 2017-18 ( gross ) was 6,30,000/- . Can I get OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate for my son's education purpose?

The Creamy layer ceiling for OBC reservation has been raised to 8 lakh per year, according to an official order. It has now been decided to raise the incoe limit from 6 lakh to 8 lakh per annum determining the creamy layer among the Other Backward Classes. The order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

As per latest modification by Government of India, the annual income limit for OBC creamy layer and non creamy layer certificate is Rs 8,00,000 per annum.

As your income is less than this amount, your son is eligible for Other Backward Class Non creamy layer certificate.

My pension is Rs 2323 / month. Have rental income.My wife is housewife. She also get rental income. My son is working as Asstt Manager in PSU Bank and getting Rs 6.0 Lakhs / annum. My son want to change service. Whether my son is eligible for OBC(Non Creamy Layer) certificate Pl guide
