What is the procedure of entrance of m.sc physics from JNU?

JNU stands for Jawaharlal University which is located in New Delhi. JNU is one of the most reputed university in India being awarded Grade 3.9 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. This is the highest grade ever given to any university in India.


JNU offers courses in various fields, out of which is M.Sc in Physics. The admission for M.Sc in Physics is given on the basis of entrance exam. This entrance exam is generally conducted in the month of May. Therefore you will have to wait till next year to get admission for M.Sc in Physics in Jawaharlal Nehru University.


Eligibility

1. A Bachelor degree with Physics as one of the subjects.

2. Your education pattern should be 10+2+3.

3. At least 55 percent marks in graduation course.


Entrance Exam Pattern

The candidates appearing for entrance exam would be tested for knowledge of Physics, Physical Chemistry and Mathematics.

Questions would be related to topics such as Mechanics, Basic Mathematics, Modern Physics, Electricity etc.


Reservation

27 percent seats in JNU are reserved for OBC (Non creamy layer) while 15 percent and 7.5 percent seats are reserved for SC and ST respectively. 3 percent seats are reserved for physically handicapped.

The candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH are eligible to appear for entrance exam regardless of their percentage.

Issue of Application Forms - 1st week of February 2013

Last date of Issue of Forms - 1st week of March 2013.

Last date to submit Forms - last week of March 2013

Date of Examination - May 2013
