Sir,
I am looking for admission for physics Msc in kolkata. I want to know name of the institutes, and procidure where it is taught.
My percentage in graduation is below 55. Moreover I have rank 211 in jam2010, 70 in bhu, 51 in jnu in physics. Can thease ranks play any role for my admission in kolkata?
Most preferably, where I can have special paper in modern physics (like:- particle physics, quantum gravity, astro physics etc)
So I request you to inform me about this.

hii dude there are many colleges who are offering msc physics but i don no about the eligibility of msc physics so I'll give u some college names you call an ask from them about the eligibility

there are many colleges in kolkata which provide M.Sc. in physics such as Presidency College,B.K.P. Rastraguru Surendra Nath College,etc. but i am afraid that you will get admission in these institutes because your marks in degree are below 55%. but you can check the criteria for admission in the institute that how much are the eligibility marks for admission.normally it is 55%.
secondly your marks in the entrance exams you are good but these entrance exams are not applicable to these colleges because these colleges conduct their own entrance exams and then admit the students.
lastly you can get the special papers in particle phyics,astrophysics,etc. in indira gandhi national open university.

dear friend, there are some good colleges in Kolkata, you can take admission in M.Sc degree.
But as you got good rank in different exams like JNU,BHU. But it can't help you to take admission in kolkata.
