PSU is the short form for Public Sector Units.
It simply refers to all givernment companies. There are many PUS's like DRDO ISRO NTPC ONGC SAIL BHEL IOCL HP most of them conduct recruitment test.so you can appear for them if they allow your branch. |

PSU(Public Sector Undertaking) are government undertaking companies some of them namely are:-
BHEL,ONGC,BSNL,MTNL,SAIL,NHAI,NTPC,BHPV,ONGC,IOCL, ISRO,HPCL,BPCL There are about 277 Central PSUs in India and all of them have their own recruitment procedures.All the PSU's have their own recruiting process. The eligibility varies from company to company since they have their own recruitment procedure i.e each Government company conducts it's own examination and then conducts a personal interview to select candidates. Some of the common eligibility requirement's are:- 1.B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.(Engg.) or any other degree mentioned by the Government company. For some of the companies final-year candidates can attend but mark-sheets must be presented at the time of interview. 2.Minimum cut-off % varies from company to company.Eligibility criteria for Gen. Category vary from 60%-70% and for Reserved Category it may vary from 50%-60%.The age limit will vary from company to company. Hence it's better that you visit the official websites of each company to get the notification details else you can go through the details in the 'Employment News'. |

Public Sector Undertaking (PSU ) , most of them recruit graduate engineers as trainees / probationary engineers every year.
There is no common entrance test for that as the requirements are company specific. All such notifications essentially come in the weekly "Employment News '' some of PSU COMPANIES ARE Indian Oil Corporation Limited(IOCL) NTPC India BPCL Oil and Natural Gas Corporation(ONGC) Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL) Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL Hindustan Aeronautics Limited they all have their own eligibility criteria but basically then take candidate who has done graduation and degree mentioned at that time |

PSUs are government undertaking companies students from a technical background can apply in technical service providing companies, i.e. BSNL, MTNL, SAIL, NHAI, NTPC, BHEL, ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL . eligibility- -You Have To Passed In Your Bachelor Degree Because Graduation Is the Minimum Eligiblity, If You Are Interested To Apply for PSU Exams. - Graduates in Engineering, Technology in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electronics And Telecommunications Discipline From a Recognised University Are Eligible to Apply for PSU Examination. |

public sector undertaking (PSU) is a term used for a government-owned corporation (company in the public sector). The term is used to refer to companies in which the government (either the Union Government or state or territorial governments, or both) owned a majority (51 percent or more) of the company equity. criteria will vary from company to company. List of companies with their Eligibility criteria for Management trainee / Engineer / Engineering Graduates / Executive Trainees. HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited ) Eligibility: Graduate in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Production/Computer Science/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautic Branches of Engineering from any recognized Institution/University. Eligibility for PSU (PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKING) is that you should have atleast 60% in B.TECH.
List of PSU's are- BEL Optronics Devices Ltd. BEML Bharat Bhari Udyog Nigam Ltd. Bharat Electronics Ltd. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. Bharat Petroleum Corpn. Ltd. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Co. Ltd. GAIL (India) Ltd. Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd. HSCC (India) Ltd. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. NTPC Electric Supply Company Ltd Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd Eligibility for different PSU's are differnt. For NTPC eligibilty are- Age limit : A. Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) : The candidates should not be more than 27 years as in the year of applying. Those who have post graduation degree are given 2 years relaxation. B. Executive Trainee – Human Resource (ET HR) & Executive Trainee – Finance (ET-Fin) : The candidates should not be more than 29 years at the time of applying. Educational Qualification : A. For Engineering Executive Trainee (EET) : The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with at least 65% aggregate marks. The aggregate should be calculated by taking average of all the semester/ year. You should have the degree from a recognized Indian University. B. For Executive Trainee – Human Resource (ET HR) : The candidate should be a Graduate with at least 2 yrs of full time post graduate degree / Post graduate diploma/ Post graduate program in Management with specialization in Human Resource / Industrial relations / Personnel Management or Masters in Social work. OBJECTIVE To identify meritorious and motivated candidates for admission to Post Graduate Programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy at the National level. To serve as benchmark for normalisation of the Undergraduate Engineering Education in the country. Minimum Eligibility: 1:You should have B.E. /B.Tech. /B.Sc. in Engg. Degree required 2:If you are a final-year students, the final result of 8th semester and mark-sheets must be presented at the time of interview. 3:minimum required number varies for different PSUs companies generally,60%-70% for general and 50%-60% for the SC/ST/OBC/PH. 4:PSUs allow for two years gap.
