Collector is also called IAS officer.Collector is responsible for the entire district of a State.
Candidates who want to become District Collector are required to qualify the Civil Services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year. Candidate who want to apply must have a Graduation Degree from a recognized board. Candidate age should not less then 21 years when they apply.Age Relaxation for OBC candidates is 7 times,for General 4 times and no limit for SC/ST candidates. Candidates are selected on the basis of Preliminary exam, Main exam and Interview. For more details go on the official website. |
