What is the eligibility and criteria to apply for State Eligibility Test (SET)? Any specific qualification required? Any age limitation? What are the benefits of SET? When and how to apply for it?

SET is conducted for selection of Assistant Professor in state government colleges and university.
The minimum required educational qualification is that candidate must have passed master degree from a recognised university with minimum 55% aggregate. There is no age limit to appear for the examination. The notification will be made available in the newspaper for the examination. |

SET refers to State Eligibility Test conducted by concerned examination body by recruitment of assistant professors/lecturer in institutes managed by concerned state government.
Further, the minimum education required for appearing in SET is a Master's degree in concerned paper with at least 55% marks from a recognized board of education. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates from SC/ST or PH category. There is no age limit for appearing in SET. As far as you are concerned about the time of application for SET then it varies with different states and hence to get complete details regarding a particular SET, you can refer to the official link of concerned SET. |
