I want to ask you sir that what qualifications are needed to join indian navy or indian air force?

You can join Indian Army or Indian Air Force after 10+2 or after Graduation or
after Post Graduation.

Depending upon age and qualifications there are various type of entries in all defence services.

INDIAN ARMY

After 12th

There are two possible ways join Indian Army after 10+2.

1. NDA examination
Education: 12th pass in any discipline.
Age:16.5-19 years.

2. Technical Entry Scheme (10+2)
Education: 12th pass with PCM subjects and should have secures aggregate of 70% in 12th board exam.
Age: 16.5-19.5 years

After Graduation

1. CDS examination conducted by UPSC
Education: Graduation in any stream
Age: 19-24 years (IMA)
19-25 years (OTA)

2. NCC Special Entry
Education: Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks
and at least B-Grade in "C" certificate exam of NCC.
Age: 19-25 years

3. Engineers' Entry
i). University Entry Scheme (UES)
You can apply for this only during pre-final year of B.Tech.
The age limit is 19-25 years

ii). TGC (Engineers)
This entry scheme is for final year students of B.Tech. and for B.Tech.
passed students.
The age limit is 20-27 years.

After Law

Law Graduate Enrty (JAG)
Education: LLB/LLM with at least 55% marks.
Age: 21-27 years.

After PG

Education: M.A./M.Sc. with 2nd class minimum.
Age: 23-27 years.



INDIAN AIR FORCE

After 12th

1. NDA examination
Education: 12th pass with PCM subjects.
Age:16.5-19 years.

2. Group 'X' Airmen recruitment (Technical Trades)
Education: 12th with PCM subjects and minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 12th
or 3-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/
Automobile/Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology)
with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute.
Age: 17-22 years

3. Group 'Y'
Education:12th pass (any discipline) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Age: 17-22 years

After Graduation

1. CDS examination conducted by UPSC
Education: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
(with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or BE / B Tech degree
Age: 19-22 years


2. NCC Special Entry
Education: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
(with Physics and Maths. at 10+2 level) with at least 60% marks in aggregate
in Graduation
or BE / B. Tech. with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
and
NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate.
Age: 19-25 years


3. Pilot Entry through Short Service Commission

Education: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university
(with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) with at least 60% marks in aggregate
or BE / B. Tech. with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
Age: 19-23 years

Engineers Entry

4. University Entry Scheme (UES)
Only prefinal year students of B.Tech. can apply for the UES.
You must score 60% or above in the B.Tech. or equivalent degree.
If you score less than the required i.e. 60% then your candidature of is cancelled
even after selection.
Age: 18-28 (18-25 for unmarried candidates)

5. Direct Entry Scheme (DES)
B.E./B.Tech./equivalent exam with at least 60% marks.
Age: 18-28 (18-25 for unmarried candidates)

To join Indian Navy or Air Force you have to crack NDA entrance exam.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED TO JOIN INDIAN NAVY/AIR FORCE:-

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male.
-Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board.
-Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age with no upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

After Graduation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or a B.Tech. Graduate can join Indian Navy/Air Force through appearing CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.

In Indian Navy you can join as
1.ATC - Age 19 1/2 to 25 Years - Graduate with first class under maths/Physics/Electronic. Short service commission

2.Observer - Age 19 to 23 Year - Graduate with min 55% in any discipline.

3.Law - Age 22 - 27 year - A degree in Law

4.Logistics - Age 19 1/2 to 25 year - first class degree in BA (Economics) B.com, B.Sc IT, CA , ICWA, BCA ,MCA, BE / B.Tech

5.Education - Age 21 - 25 years - A master degree with at least 50% marks

6.Naval Architecture - Age 21 - 25 Years BE/B.Tech in Naval Academy /Mech / Civil with 60%

7.Pilot- 60% in the B.Tech program and within the age limit of 19-23 years

You can take up CDS exam. CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services examination, and this examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year. To be eligible, you must score a minimum of 60% in your B.Tech program and must be within the age limit of 19-24 years.

Information regarding Scheduled Test is advertised in the leading National Dailies and Rozgar Samachar/Employment New as and when the schedule is announced.

Information regarding Recruitment Rallies is published in prominent local news papers as and when they are planned in certain areas.
Recruitment Rallies are meant for selection of candidates from a particular geographical location only. Hence, one is required to be domicile of that area.

Subjects and syllabus for each stream are given in the OFFICIAL website.

AGE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION CRITERIA to be AIRMEN

Group 'X': 17 - 22 Years :
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in overall aggregate.
OR
Should have passed a 3 year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) with at least 50% marks from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic Institute.
Eligible trades:Technical Trades

Group 'Y' : 17 -22 Years :
Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 with science, arts, commerce subjects or equivalent vocational courses with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Vocational courses conducted by CBSE and Kerala Board recognised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) only are eligible.
Eligible trades: All Group 'Y' Trades (Except Musician Trade)

Group 'Z' : 17-25 Years :
Passed Matriculation/ 10th class passed or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Govt recognized school/Boards, should be between 17-25 years of age and should be proficient in playing at least one musical instrument of the following:
Trumpet /Bass/ Violin/ Saxophone/ Clarinet/ Euphonium /Jass-Drum/ Piccolo/Bass Trombone/ Key Board/ Guitar/ Sarod/ Viola/ Cello/ Contra Bass (String Bass).
Eligible trades: Musician Trade


To be in the National Defence Academy
You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.

How to apply:

You start by sending your application.

Watch out for the advertisement inviting applications in the leading newspapers and the Employment News.
After you spot the relevant ad, you send your application in the format mentioned in the advertisement, before the last date of receiving of application.


Eligibility Criteria
To join the NDA you need to fulfil the following requirements:

Age
16 ½ to 19 years At the time of commencement of training.

Nationality
Indian

Gender
This is applicable only to men.

Educational Qualifications
You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students can also apply.
For Army wing:-
The candidate must have complete the 12th with 60% marks.

For Navy:-
The candidate must have complete the 12th with physics , chemistry , mathematics with 60% marks.

For Air force:-
The candidate must have complete the 12th with physics , mathematics.

What are the qualification

First you must have complete your 12th class with pcm group after that if you want to join indian navy the requried pencentage is 55% in all over subjects by nda there is no boundation in percentage.If you join indian air force the requried percentage is 70% by nda there is no boundation in percentage.If you fallows these conditions then you are able for both indian nevy &air force.

If you want to join Indian navy or Indian Air force then you have to pass 12th class with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Or you can apply after passing graduation(B.Sc) with physics and Maths.

Friend after passing 12th you have to qualify the National Defence Academy Exam.

To apply for Air force and Navy wings :- The student must have studied Physics a& Mathematics in their examination.

Almost the qualification is same for the candidate either to join Indian Navy or to join Indian Air Force.

To join any of the defence service, you have to write NDA Exam.

NDA means National Defence Academy.

Every year NDA Exam will be conducted by UPSC twice a year.

By showing good performance in this exam, number of candidates will join defence services like

Army wing
Navy wing
Air Force wing

One should be having Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects in 12th class in order to be eligible for this exam.

The candidate should be a citizen of India.

The candidate should be unmarried male candidate to write the exam.

The candidate should be in the age group of 16 1/2 years to 19 years to write the exam.

You did not mention your academic qualification.

If you have completed 12th class and having this criteria, then you can write NDA Exam.
