I passed my 12th with 76 percnt and sci with 50percnt above .. i want to do b.sc in biotech.. what are the requirements for it?

There are various universities which offers BSc in Biotechnology and the eligibility criteria may vary accordingly. However, the top institutes do prefer candidates with a minimum of 60% in their +2 level of examination for BSc (Hons) in biotechnology.
To pursue the course, you must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in +2. As you have scored more than 60%, you will be eligible to pursue the course from any of the top institutes.
Some of the good institutes for courses in biotechnology are:

Jadavpur University
Annamalai University
Amity Institute of Biotechnology

Hello,
It matters that from where you wish to persue bachelor degree in biotech. For govn. Colleges min. 50% in high school exam with PCB (or biotech in high school, no matter if maths in addition), is required.and the admission will be on merit basis.
You are eligible to get admission in B.Sc. Biotech.

For B.sc Biotech, you need to passed in your 12th examination with PCB.

Eligiblity criteria -

Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 12th Medical/Non Medical or equivalent examination with English.

OR Maths, Physics, Chemistry And Computer Science

OR Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology

OR Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology

The eligiblity criteria are vary from colleges to colleges.

But to get admission in this course, you need to passed in your 12th examination with Biology as a compulsory subject.

So, if you have scored minimum 50% marks in PCB in your 12th examination, then definitely you are eligible to apply for this course.

Course Duration -

The duration of the course for B. Sc. Biotechnology shall be covered in three academic years and shall consist of six semesters.

The admission will be made absolutely on the basis of the entrance aptitude test followed by Interview to be conducted by the college.

B.Sc Biotechnology is a good field to go for.
You can get admission in B.Sc Biotechnology after completing 10+2 with 50% marks.You will be required to Have Physics,Chemistry,Maths & English at 10+2 level.

As your marks are not high so I will suggest you to try for colleges having low profile as you would easily get admission in such college.
