i am third year engg. student i want to join in indian army what is requirements for eligibility?

A Engineering graduates can join indian army

• join in the 3rd year or that final year through the UES(University Entry Scheme)
  
• or after completion of graduation through Technical Graduate Scheme, by appearing before the Service Selection Board.

In both the cases you can be posted as a captain.

and also you can apply for Combined Defence Services examination as a regular/short service commissioned officer..

• For regular service training will be Indian Military Academy , Dehradun..
  
• For short service Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai...

Short service is for 5 years and after completion of 5 years either you can resign or opt for an extension for five years or a permanent commission.

The main requirement is of being physical strong which you should maintain for going any field in indian army


To join indian army you have to fulfill these basic criterias:

1)your age should be 19 to 23 years old.
2)you should be medically sound.

after you fulfill these criterias you can then give the following exams to join indian army,you can join logistic cadre in indian army:

UES-University Entry Scheme.
SSC-Short Service Commission.
CDS-Combined Defence Service

1)CDSE: it is an exam conducted for graduates by UPSC twice an year.

You are in 3rd year of your B.tech course, and you want to join in Indian Army after completion of graduation, then you have to appear in entrance exams like- CDS, UES exam.

Eligibility for CDS:-

For Army wing:-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade from a recognized university.

2.The candidates age should be in between 19-24 years..

Eligibility for UES:-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field..
2.The candidate must have 60% aggregate in engineering course.
3.The age should be in between 18-28 years.

So, you can appear in any of them.. After qualifying in the exam you have to go through the SSB interview..

As a graduate, you may write combined defense service exam conducted by union public service commission. A graduate in any discipline may write the exam. You need to be within the age limit of 19-24 years to be eligible for it. After qualifying the exam, you will have to undergo training in Indian Military Academy.
Being an engineer, you may join Indian Army as commissioned officer in the technical department. To join as an commissioned officer, you must be within the age limit of 20-27 years.
