Re: What is the scope of robotics engineering?
Hello,
Robotics Engineering deals with desidn and application of robots and the use of computer for their manipulation and processing... Robotics is not all about designing robots..its maintaince ,developing new application and conducted research is imporant..the students of this field of artifical intelligence computer -aided, manufacturing, robot motiuon planning... Developing a robot comes with goal of finding a solution to the problem. along with the techincal know-how interest in rese4arch is essential .this field has no boundaries and contine to grow untill the machine take over... Robotics has a huge demand in coming years...... All the best of your career............... |

Quote:
Though the specialisation is offered at an undergraduate level in a few private engineering colleges across the country, it is not the preferred choice. The popularity and growing demand for robotics is at the Master's level. In India, work on robotics began in educational institutions and research centres such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the Indian Institute of Science. Now this field is the preferred choice of many budding engineers and contests are held among students across the country to encourage talent. Robotics engineering can be studied at: 1)IITs in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur 2)Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore 3)National Institute of Technology 4)University of Hyderabad 5)Jadavpur University 6)Birla Institute of Technology and Science scope of robotics in india: There are many opportunities for robotics engineers both in India and abroad. Manufacturing of line robots and building robots for military, medical and automotive industries are a few opportunities that are bright in this field. Space research organizations like ISRO and industries that manufacture micro chips also look for Robotics engineers. Robotics Engineers are employed in labs, manufacturing plants, mining areas, gaming industry and space exploration centres. Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. Job titles that include the skill set of Robotics Engineering include controls engineer, manufacturing process engineer, mechanical design engineer and computer engineer automation engineer. Many of these job titles use one or many engineering disciplines to complete the responsibilities of creating and maintaining robotics. In most cases, robotics engineers are required to have some form of controls or computer programming skills. jobs in robotics: Robots in Transportation – Light Rail, Cars, Aircraft Robots in the Military – Smart Munitions, Net-Centric Systems, UAVs Robotic Androids – Assistants, Mentors, Educators Robots and Artificial Intelligence – Thinking Machines and Systems Robots in the home – Maids, Washing Car, Doing Chores, Mowing the Lawn, Robots in Security – Guards, Guard Dogs, Bomb Sniffers, Bomb Squads, Robots for the Weather and Environment – Unmanned Aerial Vehicles |

Re: What is the scope of robotics engineering?
I am presently working in Indian army. My qualification is 10th. Probably I retiring in 2018 and that time I would get a diploma certificate from the army. So can I apply for robotics engineering through open university
