Government jobs in the field of Robotics
Robotics is a field in engineering that deals with the application, building, structuring and designing of robots and usage of computers for their manipulation and processing. In some developed countries, robots play a crucial role in the manufacturing process thereby increasing the production for the organization. Robots also find their application in varied fields like designing of bio-medical equipment, servicing of transmission electric signals, nuclear science, sea exploration, etc…
To work in the field of robotics, skills pertaining to different fields like biological mechanics, software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer-integrated engineering are required.
With the development of computer science and related research technologies, jobs in the field of robotics are gaining popularity in India and computer intelligence forms the basis for the field of robotics. Robots carry out jobs that are sometimes impossible for human beings and that are considered highly dangerous.
Government organizations recruiting candidates to the field of Robotics:
Candidates who have completed their graduation in the field of Robotics can find job opportunities in the following government organizations:
• Centre for Development of Advanced Computing
• Defence Research & Development Organization’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
• Indian Underwater Robotics Society
• Aeronautical Development Establishment, Bangalore
• Indian Space Research Organization
Courses on Robotics in India:
Even though, there is not much in store for education at the UG level in robotics, there are courses at the PG level in the field of robotics in India. Master of Technology in Robotics is being offered by some of the popular institutions in India and for seeking admission to these courses, candidates must have completed their B. Tech course in Mechatronics.
Future job prospects in the field of Robotics in India:
It has been presumed that robotics will be future of India and it will find its way in every field as follows:
• Robots in the military
• Robots in Security
