If you are not interested in leaving your home town you may have to comprise on the job offered. You may have to join small time firm where career growth and salary increments will be less. If you can to make a career in the field of teaching then clearing NET is mandatory. So if required you must go for specialised training to clear the exam. You have to first plan out your career path and take appropriate steps accordingly.

Since you have completed Masters in Computer Applications there are plenty of job opportunities out there for you. However after understanding you situation I can say, you have pretty less options.

I would recommend you to choose the software field. It should not come as real surprise for you because MCA is basically a computer related course. Its natural for anyone to suggest you to go for IT industry.

Now I understand that there are no MNCs in your town Bhilai and you are not willing to leave your family. I don't think this would be a much of a issue because once you get a job in MNC, whether in Bangalore or their other offices in India, you can bring your family with you. I don't think after getting job, it would take more than 3-4 months for you to settle in the new city, find a house, either buy it or on rent, then bring your family to the place you are doing the job.

This is what most people do in such situation. I believe the problem is solved. There is no need to worry as if you have passed the MCA with good percentage then it would not be much difficult for you to find a job. You can even apply for job online and visit the city only for interview. Once you get the job, stay in the city alone for 2-3 months then call your family.

There is also the option for you to apply for job in Public Sector Undertakings. Several PSU give jobs to MCA candidates. You will have to appear in a entrance exam followed by interview. We all know that PSU jobs are safe. You will easily get few days off to bring your family.

If that is not possible for you then there is no other option but to look for job in any computer related company in Bhilai. The money would not be great in this case but you will get to live in Bhilai.

As far as teaching job is concerned, you have two options either appear in NET or SET exam. Do not quit on the NET exam before appearing in it. If you will prepare hard there is a good chance that you will either make the cut for National Eligibility Test (NET) or the SET exam.

While passing NET would give you job in central government college, SET would give you job in state government college. Even when you pass the NET or SET exam, there is no guarantee that you would get lecturer job in your town. In that case too, you would have to be prepared to move with your family.

Otherwise you have no option but to apply for teaching job in private school or college in your town. While I am not sure but there is a possibility that any BCA or MCA private college in your town may give you job. But don't expect great pay. It would be average.

My recommendation to you would be that if you have scored at least 60 percent marks in the MCA course then apply for job in MNC or PSU. Once you get the job you would only have to leave family for 2-3 months. Its no big deal considering that you will get well paid job and great career prospect.

If you have secured up to 55 percent marks then appear in NET and SET exam. Don't think that you are not smart enough. If make the cut it would mean a good teaching job that pays well.

hi...
i think as a student whho had completed graduation masters in computers will get better future in the it sector when compared to other sectors..

if you go for the teaching feild at starting of your carrier itself you cannot get upstanding opurtunities in your future as the teaching feild will not get much pay when compared to that of the it jobs.

as you said that there are no mnc's at your place you better try in the near by cities to your home after getting job over there you shift your family there and it is wil not take much time for you to get settle over there...

so you better start from now itself

all the best
