Marine Engineering is an engineering course that could be pursued only if a candidate had passed 10+2 from a recognized board.

Diploma holder candidates cannot apply for Marine Engineering course.

• Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training, Kilpauk, Chennai

IITs do not allow admission for Diploma holder candidates, so you must have passed 10+2 with PCM stream to get admission into IIT.

You will have to qualify an exam i.e. JEE Main followed by JEE Advanced Exam to get entry to IIT.

For other colleges, you will have to qualify State Level Entrance Exams.

They have also some reserved seats for JEE Main qualified candidates.
