Bihar Public Service Commission conducts examination for the posts in the Government of Bihar.The examination pattern consists of:

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination

There are two compulsory subjects and one optional.Compulsory subjects are

• English

• Calculus
• Trigonometry
• Analytic Geometry
• Differential Equations
• Dynamics,Statics
• Vector Analysis
• Real Analysis
• Partial Differential Equations

The exam syllabus for General Knowledge:

• Current events of National and International Importance
• History of Indian National movement
• Indian and World Geography
• Indian Polity and Economy
• Mental Ability questions

The syllabus for the English subject is:

• Spotting the areas
• Antonyms and Acronyms
• Filling the blanks
• Idioms and Phrases
• Word analogies
• Re-arranging jumbled sentences

1. Preliminary Examination.
2. Mains Examination.

Qualification required : You should have a bachelor degree in any of the given below -

1. Mathematics.
2. Statistics.
3. Mechanical/Civil/Chemical Engineering.
4. Geology.
5. Agriculture.
6. Economics.

Age requirement :

• Your age should be between 19 to 24 years.
• You will given age relaxation in case of upper age and only for reserved category as per India Government rules.

Sections from which questions will be asked in BPSC exam :

3. General Knowledge.

Eligibility :

Candidates must be Indian

Candidates must be complete Graduation in Natural Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Geology / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Agricultural / Economics from a recognized University

Candidates age limit between 19 to 24 years
